ఈ చర్యలను ఇరు పార్టీల నాయకులు ఖండిస్తూ ప్రజాస్వామ్య హక్కులను హరించారని ఆరోపించారు. నిరసన కార్యక్రమాలను అడ్డుకోవడం అన్యాయమని పేర్కొంటూ పార్టీ కార్యకర్తలు కూడా ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. మరోవైపు, ఎలాంటి అవాంఛనీయ సంఘటనలు జరగకుండా తగిన బందోబస్తు ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు పోలీసులు వెల్లడించారు.

Tension prevailed in Armoor town of Nizamabad district after the BJP and Congress planned separate protest programmes, prompting police to impose preventive restrictions. As a precautionary measure, police placed leaders of both parties under house arrest to prevent any law and order issues.

Among those confined were BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy and Congress Armoor in-charge Vinay Reddy. Police said the preventive action was taken to avoid clashes and maintain public order ahead of the proposed demonstrations.

Leaders from both parties criticised the police action, alleging that their democratic right to protest had been curtailed. They accused the administration of preventing peaceful demonstrations, while police maintained that adequate security arrangements were necessary to avoid any untoward incidents.

Officials said the situation in Armoor remained under control and additional police personnel were deployed in sensitive areas as a precaution.
