పోలీసుల వివరాల ప్రకారం, రమేష్ అక్కడి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయిన తర్వాత రమణాచారి, మోహన్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి ఇద్దరూ ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందుల నుంచి బయటపడేందుకు డీబీఎస్ బ్యాంక్ ఏటీఎంను టార్గెట్ చేశారు. ఏటీఎంను ఎలా పగులగొట్టాలి, డబ్బులు ఎలా దొంగిలించాలి అనే విషయాలపై యూట్యూబ్లో వీడియోలు చూసి ప్రణాళిక సిద్ధం చేసుకున్నారు.
అదే రోజు రాత్రి ఇద్దరూ ముఖాలకు మాస్కులు ధరించి ఇనుప రాడ్డుతో ఏటీఎంలోకి ప్రవేశించారు. యంత్రాన్ని పగులగొట్టేందుకు ప్రయత్నించిన సమయంలో సైరన్ మోగడంతో భయపడి అక్కడి నుంచి పారిపోయారు. దీంతో ఏటీఎం చోరీ యత్నం విఫలమైంది.
పోలీసులకు చిక్కకుండా ఉండేందుకు నిందితులు జడ్చర్లలో సెక్యూరిటీ గార్డులుగా ఉద్యోగాల్లో చేరినట్లు దర్యాప్తులో తేలింది. కేసు నమోదు చేసిన వాడపల్లి పోలీసులు ఏటీఎంలోని సీసీటీవీ ఫుటేజీలను పరిశీలించారు. నిందితులతో కలిసి కనిపించిన రమేష్ను విచారించగా అసలు విషయాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చాయి.
రామాపురంలోని తన ఇంటికి వచ్చిన రమణాచారి, మోహన్ కుమార్ రెడ్డిలను పోలీసులు అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. ఏటీఎం పగులగొట్టేందుకు ఉపయోగించిన ఇనుప రాడ్డు, బ్యాగ్, సెల్ఫోన్ను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నట్లు సీఐ పీఎన్డీ ప్రసాద్ తెలిపారు.
యూట్యూబ్ వీడియోలను ఆధారంగా చేసుకొని నేరాలకు పాల్పడే ప్రయత్నాలు పెరుగుతున్నాయని పోలీసులు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు. సీసీటీవీ నిఘా, అలారం వ్యవస్థల వల్ల ఈ చోరీ యత్నం విఫలమైనట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

A failed ATM theft attempt in Telangana has come to light after police arrested two accused who allegedly learned robbery techniques through YouTube videos. The incident was investigated by Vadapalli police, leading to the arrest of the suspects after analysing CCTV footage.
According to police officials, after their associate Ramesh left the location, Ramanachari and Mohan Kumar Reddy planned to rob a DBS Bank ATM to overcome financial difficulties. The duo reportedly watched YouTube videos to understand how to break open ATM machines and steal cash.
Later that night, the accused entered the ATM centre wearing face masks and carrying an iron rod. They attempted to damage the machine, but the ATM alarm system was triggered during the attempt. Frightened by the siren, both suspects fled the scene immediately.
To avoid police suspicion, the accused later joined as security guards in Jadcherla, police said. During the investigation, Vadapalli police examined CCTV footage from the ATM centre and identified Ramesh, who was seen with the accused before the incident. His questioning helped police trace the suspects.
Police arrested Ramanachari and Mohan Kumar Reddy when they returned to Ramanachari’s house in Ramapuram. Investigators seized the iron rod used in the attempt, along with a bag and mobile phone from the accused.
CI PND Prasad stated that modern surveillance systems and ATM alarm mechanisms played a crucial role in preventing the theft. Police also warned about the growing misuse of online videos for criminal activities.
