As Balakrishna was unavailable, he went with other representatives, and the government’s approval to increase ticket prices benefited the industry.

During the Andhra Pradesh Assembly session, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s comments became controversial. While discussing film industry issues, Balakrishna reportedly referred to former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy as a “psycho.” Responding to this, Chiranjeevi said he visited Jagan only upon invitation and was warmly received. He explained the industry’s difficulties and assured that he would bring all representatives if given time. Despite COVID restrictions allowing only five attendees, he went with ten, which Jagan accepted.
Chiranjeevi added that Balakrishna was unavailable despite repeated attempts. Therefore, he arranged a flight with others to meet the CM and discuss industry issues. The government’s approval to increase ticket prices benefited producers and distributors. He emphasized that he communicates such facts naturally and transparently to the public and media.
