మంథని, ఆగస్టు 12: 2021 ఫిబ్రవరి 17న మంథని–పెద్దపల్లి రహదారిపై, రామగిరి పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలో నడిరోడ్డుపై హత్యకు గురైన న్యాయవాదులు వామన్ రావు, పీవీ నాగమణి కేసు దర్యాప్తును సుప్రీం కోర్టు సీబీఐకి అప్పగించింది. ఈ ఘటనపై మొదట రామగుండం కమిషనరేట్ పోలీసులు దర్యాప్తు జరిపి, పలువురిని అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. అయితే, బాధితుల కుటుంబం దర్యాప్తు పారదర్శకంగా జరగలేదని ఆరోపిస్తూ, కుట్ర కోణం దాగి ఉందని పలు మార్లు సుప్రీం కోర్టు వరకు వెళ్ళింది. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కూడా సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తుపై అభ్యంతరం లేదని కోర్టుకు తెలిపింది.
సీబీఐ బృందం మళ్లీ మొదటి నుండి విచారణ ప్రారంభించనుంది. 2021లో జరిగిన ఘటన వివరాలు, నిందితుల వాంగ్మూలాలు, కుట్ర కోణం ఉన్నదీ లేదీ, మరెవరు ఈ కేసుతో సంబంధం ఉన్నారో పరిశీలించనుంది. అవసరమైతే నోటీసులు జారీ చేసి మరిన్ని విచారణలు జరపనుంది.
The Supreme Court has ordered the transfer of the sensational Waman Rao–Nagamani advocate couple murder case in Telangana to the CBI for further investigation.
Manthani, August 12: On February 17, 2021, advocates Waman Rao and PV Nagamani were brutally murdered in broad daylight on the Manthani–Peddapalli road within the Ramagiri police station limits. The Supreme Court has now handed over the investigation of this case to the CBI. Initially, the Ramagundam Commissionerate police conducted the probe and arrested several suspects. However, the victims’ family repeatedly alleged that the investigation lacked transparency and that a conspiracy angle was being ignored, eventually approaching the Supreme Court. The Telangana government also informed the court that it had no objection to a CBI inquiry.
The CBI team is expected to restart the investigation from scratch. They will thoroughly examine the 2021 incident details, statements from the arrested suspects, and whether any conspiracy was involved, as well as identify any other individuals connected to the case. Notices may also be issued to those accused of having links to the incident for further questioning.
