Siddipet: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to immediately issue a survey notification to identify 45 acres of land whose whereabouts could not be established in Erravalli and the adjoining Venkatapuram areas of Markook Mandal in Siddipet district.

The Chief Minister had ordered an inquiry into the land issue during a discussion in the Legislative Assembly on the 16th of last month. A review meeting on the progress of the inquiry was held at the MCR HRD Bodhi Pavilion.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, CMO Principal Secretary Seshadri, members of the committee constituted to inquire into alleged land irregularities and members of the committee examining Dharani-related irregularities attended the meeting.

The committee members briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the inquiry. Officials said records showed 388 acres of land under Survey No. 325 in Erravalli village, while a recent survey identified only 343 acres.

This resulted in a difference of 45 acres between the land recorded in official records and the land identified during the latest survey. Against this backdrop, the Chief Minister directed officials to issue a notification for a survey covering Erravalli and adjoining Venkatapuram villages.

Officials said notices would be issued seeking land records from former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family members, as they own land near Survey No. 325.

The Chief Minister directed officials to distribute the land identified through the survey to eligible local farmers. He also instructed officials to establish a Telangana Martyrs’ Colony for families of those who died during the Telangana statehood movement.

The colony is to provide house sites to the martyrs’ families along with necessary infrastructure. The Housing Department has been asked to take responsibility for the project and complete the colony by June 2.

The Chief Minister further suggested establishing a Young India Integrated School along with an education hub on eligible lands in Velikatta village of Kondapak Mandal, excluding assigned lands and Mission Bhagiratha lands.

Against the backdrop of El Niño conditions, officials were advised to use water from reservoirs and tanks carefully. The Chief Minister also directed officials to identify those allegedly using Mallanna Sagar water without authorization and take appropriate action.
