Hyderabad: BRS MLA and former minister T Harish Rao has challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to agree to a judicial inquiry into issues relating to the Dharani portal during the previous BRS government and the Bhu Bharati system under the present Congress government.
Harish Rao said the BRS was ready for an inquiry into the functioning of Dharani during its tenure as well as issues that, according to him, occurred under the Congress government after December 7, 2023. He proposed that the inquiry be conducted by a sitting Supreme Court or High Court judge.
The remarks were made by Harish Rao on September 16, 2026. Telangana Today independently reported that he challenged Revanth Reddy to order an inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court or High Court judge into the Bhu Bharati and 22-A land controversies.
Harish Rao said the inquiry should cover both the previous BRS government’s handling of Dharani and the present government’s handling of Bhu Bharati. He argued that the investigation should be conducted by a judicial authority rather than officials working under the government.
