సింగరేణిని భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు లాభదాయక సంస్థగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతాం
తెలంగాణకు కీలకమైన ప్రభుత్వ రంగ సంస్థ సింగరేణిని పరిరక్షించడంతో పాటు భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు కూడా లాభదాయక సంస్థగా తీర్చిదిద్దడమే ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యమని ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి, ఇంధన శాఖ మంత్రి మల్లు భట్టి విక్రమార్క తెలిపారు. సింగరేణి భవిష్యత్ కోసం ప్రభుత్వం సంపూర్ణ సహకారం అందిస్తుందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
సింగరేణిలోని గుర్తింపు, ప్రాతినిధ్య, అధికార సంఘాల నాయకులు హైదరాబాద్లోని డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సచివాలయంలో భట్టి విక్రమార్కను ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ సంస్థ భవిష్యత్ అభివృద్ధికి తీసుకుంటున్న చర్యలను వివరించారు.
2013లో యూపీఏ ప్రభుత్వం సింగరేణికి రీ-అసైన్ చేసిన తాడిచర్ల-2 కోల్ బ్లాక్కు మైనింగ్ లీజు దక్కేలా కేంద్రంతో చర్చించి ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు తీసుకుందని భట్టి విక్రమార్క తెలిపారు. జెన్కోను ఒప్పించి వేలంలో మణుగూరు డీప్సైడ్ బ్లాక్-2 సింగరేణికి దక్కేలా కృషి చేసినట్లు చెప్పారు.
ఒడిశాలోని నైనీ బొగ్గు బ్లాక్కు సంబంధించిన సమస్యల పరిష్కారం కోసం అక్కడికి వెళ్లి స్థానిక ప్రజాప్రతినిధులతో చర్చించి మార్గం సుగమం చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు.
ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా సోలార్, విండ్ వంటి ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ఇంధన వనరులు విస్తరిస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో భవిష్యత్లో థర్మల్ పవర్ డిమాండ్, బొగ్గు వినియోగం తగ్గే అవకాశం ఉందని భట్టి విక్రమార్క అన్నారు. కేవలం బొగ్గుపైనే ఆధారపడితే సింగరేణి కూడా ఒకప్పుడు బీఎస్ఎన్ఎల్ ఎదుర్కొన్న పరిస్థితిని ఎదుర్కొనే ప్రమాదం ఉందని హెచ్చరించారు.
అందుకే మారుతున్న ప్రపంచ అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా సింగరేణిని కాపర్, గ్రాఫైట్, లిథియం, కోబాల్ట్ వంటి కీలక ఖనిజాల మైనింగ్ వైపు విస్తరించేలా ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. కొత్త గనులు, వ్యాపార విస్తరణ, నూతన ప్రాజెక్టుల ద్వారా సింగరేణిని మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు.
సింగరేణి సంస్థ భట్టి విక్రమార్క సమర్థవంతమైన, చురుకైన నాయకత్వంలో కొత్త గనులు, వ్యాపార విస్తరణ, నూతన ప్రాజెక్టులతో వేగంగా ముందుకు సాగుతోందని మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి కొనియాడారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో సింగరేణి గుర్తింపు కార్మిక సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు వాసిరెడ్డి సీతారామయ్య, జనరల్ సెక్రటరీ రాజ్ కుమార్, ప్రాతినిధ్య కార్మిక సంఘం సెక్రటరీ జనరల్ జనక్ ప్రసాద్, సీనియర్ వైస్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ నర్సింహారెడ్డి, అధికారుల సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు లక్ష్మీపతి గౌడ్, కార్యదర్శి పెద్ది నర్సింహులు, వివిధ ఏరియాలకు చెందిన కార్మిక, అధికార సంఘాల నాయకులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Government Aims to Make Singareni Profitable for Future Generations
The Telangana government’s key objective is to protect Singareni, one of the state’s important public sector enterprises, and ensure that it remains a profitable organisation for future generations, Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said.
Leaders of Singareni’s recognised, representative and officers’ associations felicitated Bhatti Vikramarka at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, he outlined the government’s efforts to strengthen the company and secure its long-term future.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the government had worked with the Centre to secure the mining lease for the Tadicherla-2 coal block, which had been re-assigned to Singareni by the UPA government in 2013. He also said efforts were made to facilitate Singareni’s acquisition of the Manuguru Deep Side Block-2 through an auction after discussions with GENCO.
He said he had personally travelled to Odisha and held discussions with local public representatives to help resolve issues related to the Naini coal block and facilitate its operations.
The Deputy Chief Minister warned that the growing adoption of alternative energy sources such as solar and wind could reduce demand for thermal power and coal consumption in the future. He cautioned that excessive dependence on coal could put Singareni at risk of falling behind, similar to the challenges once faced by BSNL.
He said the government was therefore encouraging Singareni to diversify into the mining of critical minerals such as copper, graphite, lithium and cobalt in line with changing global requirements.
Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy praised Singareni’s progress under Bhatti Vikramarka’s leadership, saying the company was moving ahead with new mines, business expansion and new projects.
Several leaders of Singareni’s recognised and representative workers’ unions and officers’ associations, along with representatives from different areas, attended the programme.
