English: “We’ll Send Money to Your Account, Give Us Cash” — Telangana Police Warn Against Money Mule Scams
మీ అకౌంట్కు డబ్బులు పంపిస్తాం.. క్యాష్ ఇవ్వండి” అంటూ ఎవరైనా ఆఫర్ చేస్తే అంగీకరించవద్దని తెలంగాణ పోలీసులు ప్రజలను హెచ్చరించారు. ఇలాంటి లావాదేవీల ద్వారా సైబర్ మోసగాళ్లు బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలను Money Muleగా ఉపయోగించే అవకాశం ఉందని సూచించారు.
తెలియని వ్యక్తుల నుంచి వచ్చే అనుమానాస్పద లావాదేవీలకు దూరంగా ఉండాలని పోలీసులు సూచించారు. సైబర్ నేరాలకు సంబంధించిన డబ్బు తమ ఖాతాలోకి వస్తే, ఆ ఖాతా నేరస్తుల డబ్బు బదిలీకి ఉపయోగించిన Money Mule ఖాతాగా మారే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.
ఇలాంటి లావాదేవీల్లో ఖాతాదారులు ప్రత్యక్షంగా మోసానికి పాల్పడకపోయినా, వారి ఖాతా ద్వారా జరిగిన డబ్బు బదిలీలు దర్యాప్తులో భాగం కావచ్చు. అందువల్ల తెలియని వ్యక్తుల కోసం డబ్బులు స్వీకరించడం, నగదు ఇవ్వడం లేదా ఖాతాను ఇతరుల లావాదేవీలకు ఉపయోగించేందుకు అనుమతించడం చేయకూడదని పోలీసులు సూచించారు.
అనుమానాస్పద సైబర్ ఆర్థిక లావాదేవీ జరిగితే వెంటనే 1930కు ఫోన్ చేసి ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలని సూచించారు. సైబర్ మోసాలపై త్వరగా స్పందించడం ద్వారా నష్టాన్ని అరికట్టే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.
Telangana Police have warned people not to accept offers from strangers who promise to transfer money into their bank accounts in exchange for cash. Such transactions could allow cyber fraudsters to use innocent people’s accounts as money mules
The police advisory urges citizens to think carefully before helping strangers with financial transactions. A bank account used to receive and move proceeds of cyber fraud can become part of a money-mule network.
Citizens are advised to avoid unfamiliar transactions and report suspected cyber financial fraud immediately through the 1930 helpline. Recent enforcement actions in India have highlighted the use of mule accounts in networks moving proceeds of cyber fraud.
