A joint team of the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) and Food Safety officials conducted raids at multiple locations in Hyderabad and seized around 25 tonnes of suspected adulterated spices, officials said.
According to the authorities, the inspections allegedly revealed the use of synthetic chemicals and artificial colours in certain spice products. Samples have been collected and sent for laboratory analysis to determine whether the products violate food safety standards.
