సైబర్ నేరాల బారిన పడి ఆర్థిక నష్టాన్ని ఎదుర్కొన్న బాధితులకు కోల్పోయిన నగదును తిరిగి అందించడంలో తెలంగాణ దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ముందంజలో నిలిచింది. తెలంగాణ సైబర్ సెక్యూరిటీ బ్యూరో (TGCSB) వెల్లడించిన సమాచారం ప్రకారం, మర్చంట్ రిస్క్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ (MRM) మాడ్యూల్ ద్వారా బాధితుల ఖాతాల్లోకి నిధులను తిరిగి జమ చేయడంలో రాష్ట్రం అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరు కనబరిచింది.
సైబర్ మోసాలకు సంబంధించిన ఫిర్యాదులు నమోదు అయిన వెంటనే బ్యాంకులు, చెల్లింపు సంస్థలు, దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలతో సమన్వయం చేసి లావాదేవీలను నిలిపివేయడం, నిధులను ఫ్రీజ్ చేయడం, అనంతరం బాధితులకు తిరిగి అందించడం వంటి ప్రక్రియలను వేగంగా అమలు చేస్తున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
MRM వ్యవస్థ ద్వారా సమయానుకూల చర్యలు తీసుకోవడం వల్ల సైబర్ నేరాల్లో కోల్పోయిన డబ్బును తిరిగి పొందే అవకాశాలు గణనీయంగా పెరుగుతున్నాయని తెలంగాణ సైబర్ సెక్యూరిటీ బ్యూరో పేర్కొంది. సైబర్ మోసాలకు గురైన వారు వెంటనే జాతీయ సైబర్ క్రైమ్ హెల్ప్లైన్ 1930కు కాల్ చేయడం లేదా అధికారిక పోర్టల్లో ఫిర్యాదు నమోదు చేయాలని సూచించింది.
Telangana has secured a place among the top-performing states in India in restoring money lost by cybercrime victims. According to the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB), the state has achieved significant success in refunding victims through the Merchant Risk Management (MRM) module.
Officials said that complaints are acted upon immediately by coordinating with banks, payment service providers, and investigating agencies to halt suspicious transactions, freeze funds, and facilitate their return to victims.
The Cyber Security Bureau noted that timely intervention through the MRM system has substantially improved the chances of recovering money lost in cyber fraud. Citizens who become victims of cybercrime have been advised to immediately contact the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 or register a complaint through the official cybercrime portal.
