NEP 2020 Delivers Results: India’s School Enrolment Reaches 24.72 Crore

జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం (NEP 2020) అమలును సమగ్రంగా కొనసాగిస్తూ దేశంలోని పాఠశాల విద్యా వ్యవస్థను మరింత బలోపేతం చేస్తున్నట్లు కేంద్ర విద్యా మంత్రిత్వ శాఖలోని పాఠశాల విద్య & అక్షరాస్యత విభాగం వెల్లడించింది.
మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ విడుదల చేసిన వివరాల ప్రకారం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా పాఠశాలల్లో మొత్తం విద్యార్థుల నమోదు 24.72 కోట్లకు చేరుకుంది. ప్రాథమికం నుంచి ఉన్నత మాధ్యమిక స్థాయి వరకు నెట్ ఎన్రోల్మెంట్ రేషియో (NER) మెరుగుపడగా, జెండర్ పారిటీ ఇండెక్స్ (GPI) 1.0కు చేరుకోవడం ద్వారా బాలురు, బాలికల నమోదు సమాన స్థాయిలో కొనసాగుతున్నట్లు తెలిపింది.
అదేవిధంగా పాఠశాల మౌలిక సదుపాయాల అభివృద్ధి, విద్యా నాణ్యత పెంపు, సమగ్ర విద్యకు ప్రాధాన్యం కల్పించడం వంటి అంశాల్లో కూడా జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం ప్రభావం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా కనిపిస్తోందని పేర్కొంది.
లోక్సభలో అడిగిన స్టార్డ్ ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా కేంద్ర విద్యా మంత్రి ధర్మేంద్ర ప్రధాన్ ఈ అంశాలకు సంబంధించిన పలు చర్యలను వివరించారు. NEP 2020 సమర్థవంతమైన అమలుకు ప్రభుత్వం చేపట్టిన వివిధ కార్యక్రమాలను సభకు తెలియజేశారు.
The Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education has said that the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 continues to strengthen India’s school education ecosystem.
According to the Ministry, total school enrolment has increased to 24.72 crore. The Net Enrolment Ratio (NER) has improved across all stages of schooling, while the Gender Parity Index (GPI) has reached 1.0, indicating balanced enrolment of boys and girls.
The Ministry also highlighted improvements in school infrastructure, quality of education and inclusive learning, stating that the impact of NEP 2020 is becoming visible across the country.
Replying to a starred question in the Lok Sabha, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan outlined several initiatives undertaken by the government to ensure the effective implementation of NEP 2020.
