హైదరాబాద్, జూలై 17: హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో సేఫ్ సిటీ ప్రాజెక్టు కింద అమలవుతున్న వివిధ కార్యక్రమాల పురోగతిపై ఉన్నతస్థాయి సమీక్ష సమావేశం నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో నాలుగు పోలీసు కమిషనరేట్ల కమిషనర్లు, క్యూర్ (CURE) పరిధిలోని మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్లు, మహిళల భద్రత, రవాణా శాఖలు మరియు ఇతర భాగస్వామ్య విభాగాల అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
నగరం వేగంగా విస్తరిస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో పట్టణ భద్రతను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయడంపై సమావేశంలో ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించారు. సాంకేతికత ఆధారిత పోలీసింగ్ను విస్తరించడం, హై డెఫినిషన్ (HD) సీసీటీవీ కెమెరాల వినియోగాన్ని పెంచడం, అన్ని పోలీసు కమిషనరేట్లలో సమగ్ర కమాండ్ అండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ల ఏర్పాటును వేగవంతం చేయడం, ఇంటెలిజెంట్ ట్రాఫిక్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ సిస్టమ్స్, కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు (AI) ఆధారిత పర్యవేక్షణ ద్వారా నేరాల నియంత్రణతో పాటు అత్యవసర సేవలను మరింత సమర్థవంతంగా అందించే అంశాలను సమీక్షించారు.
సేఫ్ సిటీ ప్రాజెక్టు కింద ప్రస్తుతం నాలుగు కమిషనరేట్ల పరిధిలో 2,306 సీసీటీవీ కెమెరాలు ఇప్పటికే పనిచేస్తుండగా, మరో 862 కెమెరాల ఏర్పాటు పనులు కొనసాగుతున్నట్లు అధికారులు వివరించారు.
సమావేశంలో 12 అదనపు మొబైల్ షీ టాయిలెట్ల ఏర్పాటు, పనిచేయని 404 ట్రాఫిక్ సిగ్నళ్ల పునరుద్ధరణ, పాదచారులకు అనుకూలమైన మౌలిక వసతుల బలోపేతం, ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీ అధికంగా ఉండే ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రత్యేక ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ చర్యలు చేపట్టడం, ప్రజల్లో రహదారి భద్రత మరియు నగర భద్రతపై అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలను మరింత విస్తరించాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
ఈ చర్యల ద్వారా హైదరాబాద్ను దేశంలోనే అత్యంత సురక్షితమైన మహానగరాల్లో ఒకటిగా కొనసాగించడంతో పాటు, నగర ప్రజల జీవన ప్రమాణాలను మరింత మెరుగుపరచడం లక్ష్యంగా ప్రభుత్వం ముందుకు సాగుతోందని సమావేశంలో పేర్కొన్నారు.
Hyderabad, July 17: A high-level review meeting was held to assess the progress of various initiatives under the Safe City Project in Hyderabad. The meeting was attended by Commissioners of Police from the four Commissionerates, Municipal Commissioners of the CURE area, and officials from the Women Safety, Transport, and other stakeholder departments.
With Hyderabad witnessing rapid urban expansion, the review focused on strengthening urban safety through technology-driven policing. Officials discussed expanding the use of HD CCTV surveillance, establishing Integrated Command and Control Centres across all Commissionerates, implementing Intelligent Traffic Management Systems, and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for enhanced crime prevention and faster emergency response.
Officials informed the meeting that 2,306 Safe City CCTV cameras are already operational, while 862 additional cameras are currently being installed across the four Commissionerates.
Key decisions taken during the meeting include the installation of 12 additional Mobile She Toilets, restoration of 404 non-functional traffic signals, strengthening pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, implementing special traffic management measures in congestion-prone areas, and expanding public awareness campaigns on road safety and urban security.
The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that Hyderabad continues to remain one of India’s safest metropolitan cities while further improving the quality of life for its citizens.
