హైదరాబాద్ నగర అభివృద్ధికి కీలకంగా భావిస్తున్న ముసీ నది పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టు రెండో దశను తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మల్కాజిగిరిలో అధికారికంగా ప్రకటించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా నిర్వహించిన బహిరంగ సభలో ఆయన పలు అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలకు శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు.
మల్కాజిగిరి ప్రాంతంలో సుమారు ₹1,511 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో చేపట్టనున్న వివిధ మౌలిక సదుపాయాల పనులకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. ఇందులో మున్సిపల్ కార్యాలయ భవనం, ఫ్లైఓవర్, ఆసుపత్రి నిర్మాణం, రహదారి అభివృద్ధి పనులు వంటి ప్రాజెక్టులు ఉన్నాయి.
ముసీ నది పునరుద్ధరణ, రివర్ఫ్రంట్ అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమం హైదరాబాద్ నగర భవిష్యత్ అభివృద్ధికి కీలకమని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్ ఎకానమీ (CURE) పరిధిలో ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు పెరగడంతో పాటు ఆర్థిక కార్యకలాపాలు వేగవంతం అవుతాయని ఆయన తెలిపారు.
అదే సమయంలో ముసీ పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టు, మెట్రో రైలు విస్తరణకు సంబంధించి కేంద్ర స్థాయిలో కొన్ని అనుమతులు ఆలస్యమవుతున్నాయని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆరోపించారు. అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను వేగవంతం చేయడానికి అవసరమైన అనుమతులను త్వరితగతిన మంజూరు చేయాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
హైదరాబాద్తో పాటు పరిసర పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధి లక్ష్యంగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం విస్తృత నగరాభివృద్ధి వ్యూహాన్ని అమలు చేస్తోందని తెలిపారు. ముసీ ప్రాజెక్టు అందులో కీలక భాగమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
నగర మౌలిక సదుపాయాల బలోపేతం, రవాణా సౌకర్యాల మెరుగుదల, ఉపాధి అవకాశాల సృష్టి వంటి అంశాల దృష్ట్యా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు తెలంగాణలో అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యమైన పట్టణాభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాల్లో ఒకటిగా నిలవనుంది.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday announced the launch of Phase-II of the Musi River rejuvenation and riverfront development project during a public meeting in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹1,511 crore in the constituency. The projects include a municipal office building, a flyover, hospital infrastructure and major road development works aimed at improving urban connectivity and civic amenities.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said the Musi rejuvenation project would play a significant role in transforming Hyderabad’s urban landscape. He stated that the initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities and stimulate economic activity within the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) zone.
The Chief Minister also alleged that certain approvals required from the Centre for the Musi rejuvenation programme and Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion were facing delays. He urged authorities to expedite clearances to ensure timely implementation of major infrastructure projects.
According to the state government, the Musi project forms part of a broader urban development strategy designed to support Hyderabad’s long-term growth and improve civic infrastructure in surrounding urban regions.
Officials believe that the combination of riverfront development, transportation upgrades and civic infrastructure investments could strengthen economic activity while enhancing the quality of life for residents across the Hyderabad metropolitan region.
