పంట కోతలు పూర్తయ్యాక కూడా కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాల్లో ధాన్యం ఎక్కువ రోజులు నిల్వ ఉండటం వల్ల రైతులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని కవిత పేర్కొన్నారు. వర్షాలు పడే అవకాశాలు ఉండటంతో ధాన్యం నష్టపోయే పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడుతోందని ఆమె ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాల్లో తగిన సౌకర్యాలు లేకపోవడం, ధాన్యం లిఫ్టింగ్ ఆలస్యం కావడం వల్ల రైతులపై అదనపు భారం పడుతోందని బీఆర్ఎస్ నేతలు విమర్శించారు. వెంటనే అదనపు కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసి ధాన్యం తరలింపును వేగవంతం చేయాలని కవిత డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
తెలంగాణలో రైతు సమస్యలు ప్రస్తుతం ప్రధాన రాజకీయ అంశంగా మారాయి. వరి కొనుగోళ్లపై అధికార, ప్రతిపక్ష పార్టీల మధ్య విమర్శలు కొనసాగుతున్నాయి. గ్రామీణ జిల్లాల్లో రైతుల సమస్యలు రాజకీయ చర్చలకు కేంద్రబిందువుగా మారుతున్నాయి.

BRS MLC K. Kavitha staged a protest in Hyderabad on Friday alleging delays in paddy procurement operations across Telangana during the ongoing harvest season.
The protest was held near the state secretariat where Kavitha accused the Congress government of failing to provide timely support to farmers. She alleged that harvested grain was remaining at procurement centres for several days due to delays in lifting operations.
According to the BRS leader, farmers were facing increasing distress as procurement facilities remained inadequate in several districts. She warned that unexpected rainfall could damage grain stocks kept in the open at procurement centres.
Kavitha demanded immediate expansion of procurement facilities and faster transportation of paddy stocks from collection centres. Opposition leaders also criticised the government over procurement management and alleged lack of preparedness during peak agricultural activity.
Farmer welfare and procurement efficiency have emerged as major political issues in Telangana, with both ruling and opposition parties intensifying their public campaigns across rural districts.
