State-owned insurance giant Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) reported a 23.18 percent rise in net profit for the fourth quarter of FY26, driven by strong growth in premium collections and investment income.
According to the company’s financial results, LIC posted a net profit of Rs 23,420.43 crore in the January-March quarter, compared to Rs 19,012 crore during the same period last year. The insurer also recorded a historic annual profit of Rs 57,419 crore for the full financial year 2025-26.
LIC said its assets under management rose to Rs 57.29 lakh crore, reflecting continued expansion in its insurance and investment operations. The company also witnessed strong momentum in group business and first-year premium collections.
The insurer’s board recommended a final dividend of Rs 10 per equity share for FY26. Analysts said improved margins, growth in non-participating products and healthy premium income contributed significantly to the better quarterly performance.
Following the earnings announcement, LIC shares gained attention in the stock market, with several brokerage firms maintaining positive outlooks on the company’s long-term growth prospects.
