క్యాన్సర్ అధికంగా ఉన్న ప్రాంతాలను గుర్తించడంలో ఈ అట్లాస్ ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడుతుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. నివేదికలోని డేటా ఆధారంగా ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రత్యేక స్క్రీనింగ్ సెంటర్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసే అవకాశాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం పరిశీలిస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.
హైదరాబాద్కే పరిమితం కాకుండా, క్యాన్సర్ బాధితులు అధికంగా ఉన్న జిల్లాల్లో కూడా ప్రత్యేక ఆస్పత్రులు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం ప్రణాళిక రూపొందిస్తున్నట్లు సీఎం వెల్లడించారు. ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ పథకం కింద కార్పొరేట్ ఆస్పత్రుల్లో క్యాన్సర్ చికిత్సలను మరింత మెరుగుపరచాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
ప్రజారోగ్య పరిరక్షణలో భాగంగా ముందస్తు గుర్తింపు, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో వైద్య సేవల విస్తరణ, స్క్రీనింగ్ వ్యవస్థ బలోపేతం వంటి అంశాలపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారించినట్లు సమావేశంలో చర్చ జరిగింది.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed the “Cancer Atlas of Telangana” report prepared to identify cancer-prone regions and analyze the causes behind the rising cases in the state.
The report was submitted by noted cancer specialist Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori during a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Jubilee Hills. Senior officials, Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, and MP Kiran Kumar Chamala were also present during the discussion.
According to officials, the report provides a detailed analysis of cancer prevalence, affected districts, possible causes, and public health trends across Telangana. The Chief Minister appreciated Dr. Nori for preparing a comprehensive scientific report on cancer patterns in the state.
Revanth Reddy stated that the Cancer Atlas would help the government identify high-risk regions and plan targeted healthcare interventions. Based on the findings, the government is considering the establishment of special cancer screening centres in districts reporting higher incidence rates.
The Chief Minister also said that cancer treatment facilities would be expanded beyond Hyderabad to other high-burden districts in Telangana. He directed officials to strengthen cancer treatment services under the Aarogyasri scheme and improve access to advanced treatment in corporate hospitals.
The meeting also focused on early detection systems, rural healthcare outreach, and expanding preventive screening services as part of Telangana’s broader public health strategy.
