హైదరాబాద్ శివారులోని రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా శంకర్పల్లి మండలంలో ఘోర ప్రమాదం చోటుచేసుకుంది. మహాలింగాపురం గ్రామంలోని ఎన్సీసీ సిమెంట్ ఇటుకల తయారీ పరిశ్రమలో భారీ ఈదురుగాలుల కారణంగా క్రేన్ కుప్పకూలి ఐదుగురు కార్మికులు మృతి చెందారు.
సోమవారం సాయంత్రం హైదరాబాద్లో వాతావరణం ఒక్కసారిగా మారిపోయింది. భారీ మేఘాలు కమ్ముకోవడంతో పాటు పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో ఈదురుగాలులు, దుమారం, వర్షాలు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఇదే సమయంలో శంకర్పల్లిలోని ఫ్యాక్టరీలో ఉన్న భారీ క్రేన్ గాలుల ధాటికి అదుపుతప్పి ఒక్కసారిగా కూలిపోయింది.
ఆ సమయంలో అక్కడ మొత్తం 13 మంది కార్మికులు విధుల్లో ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం. క్రేన్ కింద చిక్కుకుని ముగ్గురు కార్మికులు అక్కడికక్కడే ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. మరో 10 మందికి తీవ్ర గాయాలు కాగా, వారిని వెంటనే సమీప ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించారు.
ఆస్పత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతూ మరో ఇద్దరు కార్మికులు మృతి చెందడంతో మొత్తం మృతుల సంఖ్య ఐదుకు చేరింది. గాయపడిన పలువురి పరిస్థితి విషమంగా ఉండటంతో మృతుల సంఖ్య మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు, అంబులెన్స్ సిబ్బంది వెంటనే ఘటనాస్థలానికి చేరుకుని సహాయక చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. మృతదేహాలను పోస్టుమార్టం నిమిత్తం ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించారు.
ఈ ఘటనపై కేసు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు, ఫ్యాక్టరీలో భద్రతా ప్రమాణాలు సక్రమంగా పాటించారా లేదా అనే అంశంపై దర్యాప్తు ప్రారంభించారు.

A tragic industrial accident occurred in Shankarpally mandal of Rangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad, where five workers lost their lives after a massive crane collapsed at an NCC cement brick manufacturing unit in Mahalingapuram village.
The incident took place on Monday evening when weather conditions in Hyderabad changed suddenly. Strong winds, dust storms, dark clouds, and scattered rainfall were reported in several areas across the city and its outskirts.
Amid the severe winds, a heavy crane installed at the cement brick factory reportedly lost control and collapsed directly onto workers who were on duty at the site.
According to initial reports, a total of 13 workers were present at the factory during the incident. Three workers died on the spot after being trapped under the crane, while 10 others sustained serious injuries.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in Shankarpally for treatment. However, two more workers later died while undergoing treatment, taking the total death toll to five.
Officials stated that several injured workers remain in critical condition, raising concerns that the number of fatalities may increase further.
Police and emergency teams rushed to the spot after receiving information from locals. The bodies were shifted for postmortem examination, and a case has been registered.
Police have also launched an investigation into whether proper safety measures were followed at the cement brick factory before the accident.
