ముంబైలో ఒకే కుటుంబానికి చెందిన నలుగురు ఫుడ్ పాయిజనింగ్ అనుమానంతో మృతి చెందిన ఘటన తీవ్ర విషాదాన్ని కలిగించింది. బిర్యానీ తిన్న తర్వాత అర్థరాత్రి పుచ్చకాయ తినడంతో ఆరోగ్యం విషమించి ఈ దుర్ఘటన చోటుచేసుకున్నట్లు పోలీసులు ప్రాథమికంగా భావిస్తున్నారు.
పోలీసుల వివరాల ప్రకారం, అబ్దుల్లా ఖాదర్ (40) ముంబైలో మొబైల్ దుకాణం నిర్వహిస్తూ కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించేవాడు. అతని భార్య నస్రీన్ (35), ఇద్దరు కుమార్తెలతో కలిసి శనివారం రాత్రి బంధువులు ఏర్పాటు చేసిన విందుకు హాజరయ్యారు. అక్కడ కుటుంబ సభ్యులంతా బిర్యానీ తిన్నారు.
విందు ముగిసిన తర్వాత ఇంటికి తిరిగి వచ్చిన కుటుంబ సభ్యులు అర్థరాత్రి ఒంటి గంట సమయంలో పుచ్చకాయ తిన్నారు. అనంతరం ఆదివారం తెల్లవారుజామున 5 గంటల ప్రాంతంలో అందరికీ వాంతులు, విరేచనాలు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి.
పరిస్థితి విషమించడంతో అబ్దుల్లా వెంటనే స్థానిక వైద్యుడిని పిలిచినా ప్రయోజనం లేకపోయింది. వెంటనే కుటుంబాన్ని సమీపంలోని ప్రైవేట్ ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు. అక్కడ చికిత్స పొందుతూ ఆదివారం ఉదయం 10 గంటల ప్రాంతంలో నలుగురూ మృతి చెందారు.
మృతుల్లో 13 ఏళ్ల బాలిక కూడా ఉండటం స్థానికంగా మరింత విషాదాన్ని కలిగించింది. సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు ఆసుపత్రికి చేరుకుని కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు ప్రారంభించారు.
ఫుడ్ పాయిజనింగ్ కారణంగా ఈ మరణాలు జరిగి ఉండవచ్చని పోలీసులు ప్రాథమికంగా అనుమానిస్తున్నారు. ఆహార నమూనాలను సేకరించి పరీక్షలకు పంపినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

A tragic incident in Mumbai has shocked many after four members of the same family died following suspected food poisoning. Police suspect that the deaths may be linked to food consumed during a family dinner and watermelon eaten later at night.
According to police, Abdullah Kader (40), who ran a mobile phone shop in Mumbai, lived with his wife Nasreen (35) and their two daughters. On Saturday night, the family attended a dinner hosted by relatives, where they reportedly ate biryani.
After returning home, the family ate watermelon around 1 am. However, by around 5 am on Sunday, all family members started suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhoea.
Abdullah immediately called a local doctor after noticing the sudden deterioration in health. As their condition worsened rapidly, the family was shifted to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite medical efforts, all four family members died by around 10 am on Sunday. The death of a 13-year-old girl among the victims has added to the grief in the locality.
Police reached the hospital after receiving information and registered a case. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Officials suspect food poisoning as the primary cause of death. Food samples have reportedly been collected for laboratory testing to determine whether the biryani, watermelon, or another source caused the poisoning.
