7 Lakh Appear for FLNAT Exam
ఈరోజు దేశంలోని పలు రాష్ట్రాల్లో నిర్వహించిన ఫౌండేషనల్ లిటరసీ అండ్ న్యూమరసీ అథ్యయన పరీక్ష (FLNAT)లో 7 లక్షలకు పైగా విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొన్నారు. Today, more than 7 lakh learners appeared for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) across multiple states in India.
దేశవ్యాప్తంగా సాక్షరతను పెంపొందించేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అమలు చేస్తున్న ఉల్లాస్ – నవ భారత్ సాక్షరత కార్యక్రమం కింద ఈ పరీక్షను నిర్వహించారు. ఛత్తీస్గఢ్, పంజాబ్, ఉత్తరాఖండ్, పుదుచ్చేరి రాష్ట్రాల్లో ఈ పరీక్ష జరిగింది. వివిధ వయస్సుల వారికి చెందిన అభ్యాసకులు ఇందులో పాల్గొన్నారు.
జైళ్లలో ఉన్న ఖైదీలు, నక్సల్ ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాల ప్రజలు కూడా ఈ పరీక్షలో భాగమయ్యారు. ఇది సమాజంలోని అన్ని వర్గాలకూ విద్యను చేరవేయాలనే లక్ష్యాన్ని ప్రతిబింబిస్తోంది.
ఈ భారీ స్థాయిలో పాల్గొనడం 2030 నాటికి ‘జన్-జన్ సాక్షర్’ లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించే దిశగా దేశం ముందుకు సాగుతున్నదని అధికారులు భావిస్తున్నారు. సాక్షరతను పెంచడం ద్వారా సామాజిక, ఆర్థిక అభివృద్ధి సాధ్యమవుతుందని నిపుణులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

The assessment was held under the ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram, aimed at improving adult literacy across the country. It was conducted in states including Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry, covering learners from diverse backgrounds.
Participants also included individuals from jails and those living in Naxal-affected regions, highlighting efforts to extend education to marginalized sections. The initiative reflects a nationwide push to ensure inclusive learning opportunities.
Officials noted that the large-scale participation indicates steady progress towards achieving the vision of ‘Jan-Jan Saakshar’ by 2030. Experts believe that improving foundational literacy will play a key role in social and economic development.
