Hyderabad Central Crime Station has registered a cheating case against two real estate company directors accused of defrauding investors of ₹87 lakh through a pre-launch gated community project in Sangareddy district.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly lured investors by promising high returns within a fixed period and offering flats as security for the investment. The victims later claimed they received neither the promised returns nor the flats.
Investigators found that the land linked to the proposed project had allegedly already been sold to other parties. Based on the allegations, police booked the accused under cheating and conspiracy provisions, along with relevant sections of the Telangana Protection of Depositors law.
