Gachibowli Hit and Run: Drunk Youth Drags Traffic Constable on Benz Car Bonnet
గచ్చిబౌలి పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలో శనివారం ఉదయం సుమారు 10.30 గంటల సమయంలో ఈ ఘటన చోటుచేసుకుంది. నార్సింగిలో గేటెడ్ కమ్యూనిటీలో నివసిస్తున్న గుర్రంపాటి తరుణ్ (24) మద్యం మత్తులో బెంజ్ కారును నడిపినట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. డ్రంకెన్ డ్రైవ్ పరీక్షలో అతనికి 160 ఎంజీ అల్కహాల్ స్థాయి నమోదైంది.
పోలీసుల వివరాల ప్రకారం, తరుణ్ తన పుట్టినరోజు సందర్భంగా స్నేహితులతో కలిసి రాత్రి మద్యం సేవించాడు. అనంతరం నార్సింగి నుంచి కూకట్పల్లి వైపు కారులో బయలుదేరాడు. నానక్రాంగూడ వద్ద ఒక కారును ఢీకొట్టినప్పటికీ ఆగకుండా వెళ్లి, మరో ద్విచక్ర వాహనాన్ని ఢీకొట్టాడు. అక్కడి నుంచి ఓఆర్ఆర్ మీదుగా గచ్చిబౌలి జంక్షన్ వైపు దూసుకెళ్లాడు.
సమాచారం అందుకున్న ట్రాఫిక్ కానిస్టేబుల్ ట్రిపుల్ ఐటీ జంక్షన్ వద్ద ఫ్రీ లెఫ్ట్లో కారును ఆపేందుకు ప్రయత్నించాడు. అయితే వాహనాన్ని ఆపకుండా వేగంగా తీసుకెళ్లడంతో కానిస్టేబుల్ కారు బానెట్పై పడిపోయాడు. కొద్దిదూరం పాటు బానెట్పై వేలాడుతుండగానే వాహనం ముందుకు సాగింది. యూ-టర్న్ వద్ద వాహనాల రాకపోకల కారణంగా కారు నెమ్మదించడంతో కానిస్టేబుల్ సురక్షితంగా దిగగలిగాడు. దీంతో పెద్ద ప్రమాదం తప్పింది.
The incident occurred under the limits of Gachibowli Police Station. According to police, Tarun, a 24-year-old resident of Narsingi, drove the Mercedes-Benz after consuming alcohol. His blood alcohol level was recorded at 160 mg in the drunken driving test.
Police said he first rammed a car at Nanakramguda and later hit a two-wheeler, but did not stop. He then sped towards Gachibowli Junction via the Outer Ring Road. A traffic constable attempted to stop the vehicle near the Triple IT Junction free left, but the driver allegedly continued at speed, causing the constable to fall onto the bonnet. The vehicle slowed down near a U-turn due to traffic movement, allowing the constable to get down safely.
ఈ ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన వీడియో సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో వైరల్ అవుతోంది. కేసు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు తరుణ్ను అదుపులోకి తీసుకుని కోర్టులో హాజరుపర్చారు. న్యాయస్థానం అతనికి 14 రోజుల రిమాండ్ విధించగా, సంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా కంది జైలుకు తరలించారు.
Police produced the accused before a court, which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody. He was shifted to Kandi Jail in Sangareddy district. Investigation is ongoing.
