A key bilateral engagement at Davos, the Chief Minister met Israel’s economic leadership to explore strategic partnerships across defence, technology, and innovation-driven sectors.
During his visit to Davos, N. Chandrababu Naidu met Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, along with Roey Fisher, Trade Commissioner, and Shir Slutzky, Head of the Israel Economic and Trade Mission to Switzerland. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two sides in several high-impact and future-ready sectors.
Discussions centred on partnership opportunities in defence, aerospace, and UAV ecosystems, with emphasis on advanced manufacturing, research collaboration, and technology transfer. Water management emerged as another key area, with both sides exploring cooperation in desalination technologies and groundwater quality improvement.
The talks also covered collaboration in semiconductors and quantum technologies, aimed at building leadership in next-generation computing and electronics. In addition, opportunities in medicine, education, and cybersecurity were discussed, with a focus on innovation-led growth, skill development, and knowledge exchange.
The meeting highlighted the potential for long-term strategic collaboration, leveraging Israel’s technological expertise and India’s expanding industrial and innovation ecosystem. Officials said such partnerships could play a significant role in driving investment, research, and high-value job creation.
The engagement at Davos reflects continued efforts to deepen international cooperation and position the state as a preferred destination for advanced technology partnerships and global investments.
