ప్రస్తుతం పశ్చిమాసియా ఉద్రిక్తతల ప్రభావంతో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఎల్పీజీ సరఫరాలో అంతరాయం ఏర్పడింది. దీంతో తెలంగాణలో కూడా పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో గ్యాస్ కొరత కనిపిస్తోంది. గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ కోసం వినియోగదారులు గోడౌన్ల వద్ద వేచి చూడాల్సిన పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది.
ఈ పరిస్థితిని ఉపయోగించుకుని కొందరు గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్లను అక్రమంగా నిల్వ చేసి బ్లాక్ మార్కెట్కు మళ్లిస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం. గృహ వినియోగ సిలిండర్లను అధిక ధరలకు విక్రయిస్తున్న ఘటనలు బయటపడుతున్నాయి. దీంతో పేద, మధ్యతరగతి ప్రజలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు.
ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ప్రభుత్వం కఠిన చర్యలకు సిద్ధమైంది. గ్యాస్ డెలివరీలో జాప్యం, అక్రమ నిల్వలు లేదా బ్లాక్ మార్కెట్కు మళ్లింపు జరిగినా వెంటనే 1967 నెంబర్కు ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలని సూచించింది. గ్యాస్ ఏజెన్సీలపై పర్యవేక్షణ కోసం ప్రత్యేక కమాండ్ అండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు వెల్లడించింది.
విజిలెన్స్ బృందాలు జరిపిన సోదాల్లో ఇప్పటివరకు 5,079 డొమెస్టిక్ సిలిండర్లు, 70 చిన్న సిలిండర్లు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. సుమారు రూ.1.5 కోట్ల విలువైన సిలిండర్లను సీజ్ చేశారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు 2,089 కేసులు నమోదు చేసి చర్యలు చేపట్టినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ ధర కంటే ఎక్కువ వసూలు చేసినా, కావాలని డెలివరీ ఆలస్యం చేసినా లైసెన్సులు రద్దు చేసి క్రిమినల్ కేసులు నమోదు చేస్తామని అధికారులు హెచ్చరించారు.

Amid delays in LPG cylinder deliveries across Telangana, the Civil Supplies Department has issued important instructions to consumers. Officials advised people to call the toll-free number 1967 to lodge complaints if their booked LPG cylinders are not delivered on time.
Due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia, LPG supply has been disrupted across the country. As a result, shortages are being reported in several parts of Telangana, forcing consumers to wait near gas godowns for cylinders.
Taking advantage of the situation, some groups are allegedly hoarding LPG cylinders and diverting them to the black market. Domestic cylinders are reportedly being sold at higher prices, causing hardship to poor and middle-class families.
To address the issue, the Telangana government has initiated strict monitoring measures. A dedicated command and control center has been set up to track bookings and deliveries in coordination with gas agencies.
Vigilance teams have seized 5,079 domestic cylinders and 70 small cylinders during inspections. Cylinders worth approximately ₹1.5 crore have been confiscated. Authorities have registered 2,089 cases so far and warned of strict legal action.
Officials stated that agencies delaying delivery intentionally or charging above the fixed price will face license cancellation and criminal proceedings.
