Hyderabad Food Safety Crackdown: FSSAI Licences of 8 Restaurants Suspended
హైదరాబాద్లో ఆహార భద్రతా నిబంధనల ఉల్లంఘనలపై తెలంగాణ స్టాండర్డ్స్ అథారిటీ ఫర్ ఫుడ్ అండ్ ఎసెన్షియల్ డ్రగ్స్ (TG SAFE) అధికారులు కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకున్నారు. గురువారం నిర్వహించిన ప్రత్యేక తనిఖీల్లో తీవ్రమైన పరిశుభ్రత, ఆహార నిల్వ నిబంధనల ఉల్లంఘనలు గుర్తించడంతో 8 రెస్టారెంట్ల FSSAI లైసెన్సులను సస్పెండ్ చేసి, వెంటనే కార్యకలాపాలు నిలిపివేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. మరో రెస్టారెంట్ను FSSAI లైసెన్స్ లేకుండా నిర్వహిస్తున్నందుకు మూసివేశారు.
హైదరాబాద్ కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్లో 8 ఎన్ఫోర్స్మెంట్ బృందాలు మొత్తం 15 ఆహార సంస్థల్లో తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించాయి. తనిఖీల సందర్భంగా కల్తీపై అనుమానంతో 16 ఆహార నమూనాలను సేకరించి ప్రయోగశాల పరీక్షలకు పంపించారు.
ఏ రెస్టారెంట్లపై చర్యలు?
FSSAI లైసెన్సులు సస్పెండ్ చేసిన సంస్థల్లో గచ్చిబౌలిలోని Aroma Multicuisine Restaurant, సఫిల్గూడలోని Aditya Restaurant and Bar, బేగంబజార్లోని Vaishnavi Darshini, కొత్తపేటలోని Spicy Hub (Green Treat Restaurant), రాయదుర్గ్లోని Pakwan Grand Restaurant, హఫీజ్పేట్లోని Godavari Ghumaghumalu, గోపన్పల్లిలోని Sri Krishna Family Dhaba Pure Veg, కొండాపూర్లోని Sri Sai Mess Branch (Babai Hotel unit) ఉన్నాయి.
తనిఖీల్లో ఏం గుర్తించారు?
TG SAFE అధికారులు పలు సంస్థల్లో బొద్దింకలు, ఎలుకలు, ఈగలు, ఎలుకల మల విసర్జన, గడువు ముగిసిన ఆహార పదార్థాలు, పాడైన కూరగాయలు, అపరిశుభ్రమైన వంటశాలలు, సరిగా నిల్వ చేయని ఆహారం, లేబులింగ్ లోపాలు వంటి ఉల్లంఘనలను గుర్తించారు. కొన్ని చోట్ల పెస్ట్ కంట్రోల్, ఆహారాన్ని నిర్వహించే సిబ్బంది ఆరోగ్య రికార్డులు కూడా నిర్వహించలేదని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
రాయదుర్గ్లోని Pakwan Grand Restaurantలో 1,170 కిలోల గడువు ముగిసిన బియ్యం, లేబులింగ్ లోపాలున్న 45 కిలోల నూడుల్స్, పాడైన గుడ్లు, ఎలుకల సమస్య, అపరిశుభ్రమైన రిఫ్రిజిరేటర్లు గుర్తించినట్లు TG SAFE తెలిపింది.
గచ్చిబౌలిలోని Aroma Multicuisine Restaurantలో ఎలుకలు, బొద్దింకల సమస్య, గడువు ముగిసిన ఆహార పదార్థాలు, ఆహార పదార్థాలకు జరిగిన కలుషిత పరిస్థితులు గుర్తించినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
Lucky Restaurant మూసివేత
ప్రగతినగర్, బాచుపల్లిలోని Lucky Restaurantను FSSAI లైసెన్స్ లేకుండా నిర్వహిస్తున్నందుకు అధికారులు మూసివేశారు. అక్కడ తీవ్రమైన బొద్దింకల సమస్య, అపరిశుభ్రమైన పరిస్థితులు కూడా గుర్తించినట్లు TG SAFE తెలిపింది.
మరికొన్ని సంస్థలకు నోటీసులు
Puppalgudaలోని Asaa Neo Indian Kitchen నిర్వహణ సంస్థకు షోకాజ్ నోటీసు ఇవ్వనున్నట్లు TG SAFE తెలిపింది. అలాగే Girl Friend Mandi, Box 8 & Mojo Pizza, Seasons Xpress, Yummy Bee, JMJ Boys & Girls Hostel తదితర ఐదు సంస్థలకు ఇంప్రూవ్మెంట్ నోటీసులు జారీ చేయనున్నారు. వీటిపై తదుపరి తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించి నిబంధనల అమలును పరిశీలించనున్నారు.
ఇక ఆహార భద్రతా నిబంధనలు పాటించాలని అధికారులు స్పష్టం చేస్తున్నారు. తాజా తనిఖీల్లో లైసెన్స్ సస్పెన్షన్తో పాటు ఒక సంస్థను మూసివేయడం, నమూనాలను ల్యాబ్కు పంపడం, ఇతర సంస్థలకు నోటీసులు ఇవ్వడం వంటి చర్యలు చేపట్టారు.
The Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) has taken strict action against restaurants in Hyderabad for serious food safety and hygiene violations. During a special enforcement drive on Thursday, the authority suspended the FSSAI licences of eight restaurants and ordered them to stop operations immediately. Another restaurant was closed for operating without an FSSAI licence.
Eight enforcement teams comprising food safety officers and police personnel inspected 15 food establishments across Hyderabad’s core urban region. Officials also collected 16 food samples on suspicion of adulteration and sent them for laboratory testing.
Restaurants Facing Licence Suspension
The establishments whose FSSAI licences were suspended include Aroma Multicuisine Restaurant in Gachibowli, Aditya Restaurant and Bar in Safilguda, Vaishnavi Darshini in Begum Bazar, Spicy Hub (Green Treat Restaurant) in Kothapet, Pakwan Grand Restaurant in Raidurg, Godavari Ghumaghumalu in Hafeezpet, Sri Krishna Family Dhaba Pure Veg in Gopanpally and Sri Sai Mess Branch, a unit of Babai Hotel, in Kondapur.
Serious Hygiene Violations
Officials reported finding cockroaches, rodents, houseflies, rat droppings, expired food products, spoiled vegetables, unhygienic kitchens, improper food storage and labelling violations at various establishments. Some establishments also lacked mandatory pest-control and food-handler health records.
At Pakwan Grand Restaurant in Raidurg, officials reported finding 1,170 kg of expired rice, 45 kg of noodles with labelling defects, spoiled eggs, rodent infestation and unhygienic refrigerators.
At Aroma Multicuisine Restaurant in Gachibowli, officials reported cockroach and rodent infestation, expired food products and other hygiene-related violations.
Lucky Restaurant Closed
Lucky Restaurant in Pragathi Nagar, Bachupally, was closed for operating without an FSSAI licence. Officials also reported heavy cockroach infestation and unhygienic conditions at the establishment.
Notices to Other Establishments
TG SAFE said a show-cause notice would be issued to Asaa Neo Indian Kitchen at Puppalguda. Improvement notices are also being issued to five other establishments, including Girl Friend Mandi, Box 8 & Mojo Pizza, Seasons Xpress, Yummy Bee and JMJ Boys & Girls Hostel. Follow-up inspections will be conducted to assess compliance.
The latest enforcement drive highlights the importance of complying with food safety, hygiene, storage and licensing requirements. Further action may follow based on laboratory results and subsequent inspections.
