Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 50th Independence Day celebrations of Seychelles as the Guest of Honour, marking a historic milestone in the relationship between the two countries. During the ceremonial parade held in Victoria, the Prime Minister stood in respect as the Indian contingent marched past the ceremonial dais.
The Indian contingent included troops from the Assam Regiment of the Indian Army, along with a marching contingent and a military band from the Indian Navy. Adding to India’s presence, Indian Naval Ships INS Tarkash and INS Ikshak were docked at Port Victoria to commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
