హైదరాబాద్ మహానగరాన్ని సిగ్నల్ ఫ్రీ సిటీగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందిస్తోంది. ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యలకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం చూపేందుకు అండర్పాస్, సర్ఫేస్, ఎలివేటెడ్ రహదారులతో కూడిన త్రీ లెవల్ ట్రాన్స్పోర్ట్ మోడల్ను అమలు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వెల్లడించారు.
సచివాలయంలో గృహ నిర్మాణం, పట్టణ వ్యవహారాలపై నిర్వహించిన పార్లమెంటరీ స్టాండింగ్ కమిటీ సమావేశంలో సీఎం ఈ విషయాన్ని తెలిపారు. హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో పెరుగుతున్న జనాభా, విస్తరిస్తున్న నగర పరిధి, పెరుగుతున్న వ్యక్తిగత వాహనాల సంఖ్య కారణంగా ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్య తీవ్రంగా మారుతోందన్నారు.
కేవలం రోడ్ల విస్తరణతోనే సమస్యకు పరిష్కారం దొరకదని, అందుకోసం మల్టీ ట్రాన్స్పోర్ట్ సిస్టమ్ అవసరమని సీఎం అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా మల్టీ లెవెల్ పార్కింగ్ సదుపాయాలను కూడా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
హైదరాబాద్ను ట్రాఫిక్ రహిత, పార్కింగ్ సమస్యలేని, కాలుష్య రహిత నగరంగా మార్చేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు చేపడుతోందన్నారు. మూసీ రివర్ఫ్రంట్ అభివృద్ధిని నగర సంస్కృతితో అనుసంధానం చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
తెలంగాణ సమగ్రాభివృద్ధి కోసం రాష్ట్రాన్ని CURE, PURE, RARE అనే మూడు జోన్లుగా విభజించి అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలు అమలు చేస్తున్నట్లు సీఎం వివరించారు. ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్ లోపల ప్రాంతాన్ని కాలుష్యరహిత ఐటీ, సర్వీస్ హబ్గా తీర్చిదిద్దడమే లక్ష్యమన్నారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో పార్లమెంటరీ స్టాండింగ్ కమిటీ ఛైర్మన్ మాగుంట శ్రీనివాసుల రెడ్డి, పలువురు ఎంపీలు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

The Telangana Government is planning to transform Hyderabad into a signal-free city by implementing a three-level traffic management model aimed at reducing congestion and improving urban mobility.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced the proposal during a Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting on Housing and Urban Affairs held at the Secretariat in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister said the city’s growing population, rapid urban expansion, and rising number of private vehicles have intensified traffic problems across the capital.
According to the proposed model, the government plans to develop an integrated transport system with underpasses, surface-level roads, and elevated corridors to ensure smoother traffic flow. Revanth Reddy stated that widening roads alone would not permanently solve Hyderabad’s traffic challenges.
The government is also focusing on multi-level parking infrastructure and pollution reduction measures as part of its long-term urban development strategy. The Chief Minister said efforts are underway to make Hyderabad a traffic-free, parking-efficient, and pollution-controlled metropolitan city.
During the meeting, the Telangana Government also highlighted its broader “CURE, PURE, RARE” development strategy under Telangana Rising 2047. The plan includes IT and service sector expansion within the Outer Ring Road limits, industrial development between ORR and the Regional Ring Road, and agricultural growth in outer regions.
Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Members of Parliament, and senior officials attended the meeting.
