English: Hyderabad Theft Case: A Silk Saree Becomes the Key Clue After 3 Years
హైదరాబాద్లో మూడేళ్ల క్రితం జరిగిన ఇంటి దొంగతనం కేసులో కీలక ఆధారం ఓ పట్టుచీరగా మారింది. చోరీకి గురైన పట్టుచీరను ఓ మహిళ ఫంక్షన్లో ధరించడంతో బాధితురాలు గుర్తించి పోలీసులకు సమాచారం ఇవ్వడంతో కేసులో పురోగతి సాధ్యమైంది.
రాజేంద్రనగర్ పోలీస్స్టేషన్ పరిధిలోని బండ్లగూడ జాగీర్ వినాయక్నగర్లో ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగి ఎం. యాదయ్య కుటుంబంతో నివసిస్తున్నారు. 2023 సెప్టెంబర్ 16న పిల్లలకు అనారోగ్యం కారణంగా యాదయ్య మూడు రోజుల పాటు ఆస్పత్రిలో ఉన్నారు. తిరిగి ఇంటికి వచ్చేసరికి బీరువాలోని 9 తులాల బంగారం, రూ.2.50 లక్షల నగదు, పట్టుచీర కనిపించలేదు.
దీంతో యాదయ్య పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేయగా కేసు నమోదైంది. నిందితుల కోసం పోలీసులు గాలించినప్పటికీ అప్పట్లో వారి ఆచూకీ లభించలేదు.
మూడేళ్ల తర్వాత కీలక ట్విస్ట్
మూడేళ్ల తర్వాత యాదయ్య భార్య ఓ ఫంక్షన్కు వెళ్లారు. అక్కడ స్థానికంగా నివసించే స్వప్న అనే మహిళ ధరించిన పట్టుచీరను ఆమె గమనించారు. అది తమ ఇంట్లో చోరీకి గురైన పట్టుచీరేనని గుర్తించారు.
వెంటనే పోలీసులకు సమాచారం ఇవ్వడంతో దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టిన పోలీసులు నిందితులను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నట్లు కథనం పేర్కొంది. విచారణలో చోరీకి సంబంధించిన వివరాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. నిందితుల నుంచి 8.7 తులాల బంగారు ఆభరణాలను పోలీసులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నట్లు సమాచారం.
ఈ ఘటనలో మూడేళ్ల క్రితం జరిగిన చోరీకి సంబంధించిన చిన్న ఆధారం చివరకు నిందితుల ఆచూకీని బయటపెట్టింది. చోరీ కేసుల్లో వస్తువుల గుర్తింపు దర్యాప్తులో కీలక ఆధారంగా ఎలా మారుతుందో ఈ ఘటన చూపించింది.
A silk saree became the key clue in solving a house burglary case in Hyderabad that dates back to 2023. The stolen saree was reportedly spotted at a function, leading the victim’s family to alert the police.
The incident occurred in Vinayak Nagar of Bandlaguda Jagir under the Rajendranagar police station limits. Government employee M. Yadayya had been away at a hospital for three days in September 2023 while his children were undergoing treatment.
When he returned home, he found that 9 tolas of gold, Rs.2.50 lakh in cash and a silk saree had been stolen from the house. A police complaint was subsequently filed, but the accused could not be traced at the time.
Three years later, Yadayya’s wife reportedly attended a function where she noticed a woman named Swapna wearing a saree that she recognised as the one stolen from their house.
She informed the police, following which an investigation was taken up. According to the report, the accused were subsequently apprehended and 8.7 tolas of gold ornaments were recovered.
The case highlights how a seemingly ordinary item linked to a past crime eventually became a crucial clue in tracing the accused.
