భారత్–ఫ్రాన్స్ ఇయర్ ఆఫ్ ఇన్నోవేషన్ నేపథ్యంలో నిర్వహించనున్న భారత్ ఇన్నోవేట్స్ 2026 కార్యక్రమాన్ని అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో భాగస్వామ్యాలను బలోపేతం చేసే వేదికగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నట్లు కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ మంత్రి ధర్మేంద్ర ప్రధాన్ తెలిపారు. ఆవిష్కరణలు, పరిశోధన, ఉన్నత విద్య, స్టార్టప్లు, వ్యవస్థాపక రంగాల్లో భారత్ వేగంగా ముందుకు సాగుతోందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ దౌత్య సమావేశంలో భారత డీప్టెక్, స్టార్టప్ ఎకోసిస్టమ్, ఉన్నత విద్యాసంస్థలను ఇన్నోవేషన్ హబ్లుగా అభివృద్ధి చేయడం, అంతర్జాతీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల మధ్య పరిశోధన భాగస్వామ్యాలు, పెట్టుబడుల అవకాశాలు, గ్లోబల్ మార్కెట్ యాక్సెస్ వంటి అంశాలపై చర్చ జరిగింది.
రతీయ విద్యా సంస్థలు ప్రపంచ స్థాయి పరిశోధనలకు కేంద్రాలుగా మారుతున్నాయని, అంతర్జాతీయ భాగస్వామ్యాల ద్వారా విద్యార్థులు, పరిశోధకులకు మరిన్ని అవకాశాలు లభిస్తాయని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. యువతను ఇన్నోవేషన్, టెక్నాలజీ, స్టార్టప్ రంగాల వైపు ప్రోత్సహించడం ద్వారా భారత ఆర్థికాభివృద్ధికి కొత్త దిశ లభిస్తుందని అన్నారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో విదేశాంగ కార్యదర్శి Vikram Misri, ఉన్నత విద్యాశాఖ కార్యదర్శి Vineet Joshi, సెక్రటరీ (వెస్ట్) Sibi George పాల్గొన్నారు. భారత్లో విధులు నిర్వహిస్తున్న సుమారు 50 మంది రాయబారులు, హైకమిషనర్లు కూడా హాజరయ్యారు.
భారత్ ఇన్నోవేట్స్ 2026 కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా భారత స్టార్టప్లు, పరిశోధనా సంస్థలు, విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకు అంతర్జాతీయ సహకారం పెరిగే అవకాశముందని అధికారులు భావిస్తున్నారు.

Dharmendra Pradhan participated in a high-level diplomatic interaction on “Bharat Innovates 2026” held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, bringing together ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats, and senior Government of India officials.
Addressing the gathering, the Union Education Minister described Bharat Innovates 2026 as a major platform aimed at strengthening global partnerships in innovation, research, higher education, entrepreneurship, and technology under the India–France Year of Innovation initiative.
Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted India’s rapidly growing deep-tech and startup ecosystem and stressed the role of higher educational institutions as emerging innovation hubs. He said India is positioning itself as a major destination for global research collaboration, technology partnerships, and startup-driven economic growth.
The diplomatic interaction focused on several important themes, including India’s expanding deep-tech ecosystem, collaboration opportunities between global universities, investor access, research partnerships, and international cooperation in innovation and technology sectors.
The minister stated that Indian universities and research institutions are increasingly becoming centres for cutting-edge innovation and global academic collaboration. He added that stronger international partnerships would create better opportunities for students, researchers, startups, and entrepreneurs.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Secretary of Higher Education Vineet Joshi, and Secretary (West) Sibi George attended the interaction along with nearly 50 diplomats, including ambassadors and high commissioners posted in India.
