తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలోని ప్రతి పౌరుడికి ప్రభుత్వం అందిస్తున్న సంక్షేమ పథకాల వివరాలను ఒకే వేదికలో అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావడానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘సమగ్ర సంక్షేమ కార్డు’ (Unified Welfare Card) ఏర్పాటు దిశగా చర్యలు ప్రారంభించింది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారులతో నిర్వహించిన సమీక్ష సమావేశంలో ఈ ప్రతిపాదనపై కీలక చర్చ జరిగినట్లు అధికార వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి.
ప్రస్తుతం వివిధ శాఖల ద్వారా అమలవుతున్న సంక్షేమ పథకాల లబ్ధిదారుల వివరాలు వేర్వేరు డేటాబేస్లలో ఉన్నాయి. కొత్త వ్యవస్థ ద్వారా వాటన్నింటినీ ఒకే డిజిటల్ ప్లాట్ఫారమ్లో అనుసంధానం చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోంది.
ఈ కార్డు ద్వారా ఒక వ్యక్తి ఏ శాఖ నుంచి, ఏ పథకం కింద, ఎంత మేరకు లబ్ధి పొందుతున్నారనే సమాచారం సమగ్రంగా అందుబాటులో ఉంటుంది. దీంతో సంక్షేమ పథకాల అమలులో పారదర్శకత పెరగడంతో పాటు అర్హులైన లబ్ధిదారులకు ప్రయోజనాలు సమర్థవంతంగా చేరే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు.
అలాగే ఒకే లబ్ధిదారుడు ఒకే ప్రయోజనాన్ని పలుమార్లు పొందే అవకాశాలను తగ్గించడంతో పాటు ప్రభుత్వ వ్యయాలపై సమర్థవంతమైన పర్యవేక్షణకు ఈ వ్యవస్థ ఉపయోగపడుతుందని భావిస్తున్నారు.
సంక్షేమ పథకాల అమలులో లోపాలు, లబ్ధిదారులకు చేరని సేవలను గుర్తించేందుకు కూడా ఈ డేటా ఉపయుక్తంగా మారనుంది. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన సాంకేతిక, పరిపాలనా అంశాలను అధికారులు పరిశీలిస్తున్నారు.

The Telangana government is planning to introduce a Unified Welfare Card aimed at integrating welfare benefits received by citizens under various government schemes into a single platform. The proposal was discussed during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, according to official sources.
At present, beneficiary information related to different welfare schemes is maintained separately by various government departments. The proposed system seeks to digitally integrate these databases and create a centralized record of welfare assistance provided to citizens.
Under the new framework, authorities will be able to track which schemes a beneficiary is receiving support from and the extent of assistance provided. Officials believe the initiative will improve transparency, strengthen accountability, and ensure that eligible citizens receive benefits without administrative delays.
The government also expects the system to reduce duplication of benefits and enhance monitoring of public expenditure. By consolidating welfare data, policymakers can identify gaps in service delivery and improve the implementation of welfare programs across Telangana.
Officials are currently examining the technical and administrative framework required for implementation. A formal announcement regarding the rollout of the Unified Welfare Card is expected after the government finalizes operational guidelines.
