ప్రధానమంత్రి తన సందేశంలో గత ఏడేళ్లలో జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్, లడఖ్ ప్రాంతాల్లో మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు, విద్య, ఆరోగ్యం, పారిశ్రామిక అవకాశాలు, క్రీడలు వంటి రంగాల్లో గణనీయమైన పురోగతి సాధించామని చెప్పారు. మహిళలు, అట్టడుగు వర్గాలకు భారత రాజ్యాంగంలోని పూర్తి హక్కులు అమలులోకి రావడంతో సాధికారత పెరిగిందని తెలిపారు.

ఈ ఏడాది ఆగస్టు 5కు మరో ప్రత్యేకత ఉందని పేర్కొంటూ, డాక్టర్ శ్యామ ప్రసాద్ ముఖర్జీ 125వ జయంతి ఉత్సవాల సందర్భంగా ఆయన జాతీయ సమైక్యత కోసం చేసిన కృషిని స్మరించారు. దశాబ్దాల క్రితం ఆయన కలలు కన్న లక్ష్యం 2019 ఆగస్టు 5న సాకారమైందని అన్నారు.

జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్, లడఖ్ అభివృద్ధికి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని, ప్రతి పౌరుడు పెద్ద కలలు కనేందుకు, వాటిని సాకారం చేసుకునేందుకు, వికసిత్ భారత్ నిర్మాణంలో భాగస్వామి కావడానికి అవసరమైన అవకాశాలు కల్పిస్తామని ప్రధానమంత్రి తన సందేశంలో పునరుద్ఘాటించారు.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked seven years since the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A), stating that the decision taken on August 5, 2019, marked a decisive new chapter in the development of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

In his message, the Prime Minister said the past seven years have witnessed significant transformation in infrastructure, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and sports across the two regions. He also stated that the full application of the Constitution of India has empowered women and marginalised communities by extending constitutional rights that were previously unavailable.

The Prime Minister further noted that this year’s anniversary coincides with the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, whose vision of national unity, he said, found historic fulfilment through the constitutional changes implemented on August 5, 2019.

Reaffirming the Centre’s commitment, Mr. Modi said the government would continue working for the progress of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh while ensuring that every citizen has opportunities to contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
