తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర రోడ్డు రవాణా సంస్థ (టీజీఎస్ఆర్టీసీ) కార్మికుల సమ్మెపై రవాణా శాఖ మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. ప్రభుత్వం ఆర్టీసీ కార్మికుల డిమాండ్లపై చర్చలకు పూర్తిగా సిద్ధంగా ఉందని, సమ్మె విరమించి చర్చలకు రావాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
ప్రభుత్వం నియమించిన కమిటీతో జరిగిన చర్చలు విఫలమవడంతో ఆర్టీసీ కార్మికులు బుధవారం ఉదయం నుంచి సమ్మెబాట పట్టారు. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా అన్ని జిల్లాల్లో బస్సులు డిపోలకే పరిమితమయ్యాయి. దీంతో ప్రయాణికులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు.
తమ సమస్యలను వెంటనే పరిష్కరించాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తూ ఆర్టీసీ జేఏసీ నేతలు, కార్మికులు డిపోల ఎదుట ఆందోళనలు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ మీడియా సమావేశంలో స్పందించారు.
ఆర్టీసీ సమ్మెతో ప్రజలు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారని, సమ్మెకు వెళ్లడం భావ్యం కాదని ఆయన అన్నారు. మొత్తం 32 సమస్యల్లో 29 సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఆర్టీసీ విలీనం, గుర్తింపు సంఘాల ఎన్నికలు అనే రెండు అంశాలు మాత్రమే పెండింగ్లో ఉన్నాయని తెలిపారు. ఈ రెండు అంశాల్లో సాంకేతిక అంశాలు ఉండటంతో వాటిపై సమగ్ర అధ్యయనం అవసరమని, అందుకే నాలుగు వారాల గడువు కోరినట్లు వివరించారు.
ఈ రెండు అంశాలపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి, డిప్యూటీ సీఎం స్థాయిలో చర్చలు జరుగుతాయని చెప్పారు. సమస్యల పరిష్కారం కోసం ఇప్పటికే కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేశామని, చర్చలతో కాలయాపన చేసే ప్రభుత్వం తమది కాదని మంత్రి అన్నారు.
ఆర్టీసీ బలోపేతానికి ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని, సమ్మె వెనుక రాజకీయ కుట్ర ఉందనే అనుమానం ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వానికి చెడ్డ పేరు తేవాలని కొందరు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారని విమర్శించారు.
మహిళల ఉచిత ప్రయాణ పథకాన్ని బీఆర్ఎస్ వ్యతిరేకిస్తోందని ఆయన ఆరోపించారు. ఆర్టీసీ కార్మికులు రాజకీయ మాయలో పడకుండా వెంటనే చర్చలకు రావాలని, ప్రభుత్వం ఎప్పుడైనా చర్చలకు సిద్ధంగా ఉందని పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ మరోసారి స్పష్టం చేశారు.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar made key remarks on the ongoing Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) workers’ strike and urged employees to withdraw the strike and return for discussions. He said the government is fully prepared to discuss the demands raised by RTC employees.
RTC workers launched the strike on Wednesday morning after talks with the government-appointed committee failed. As a result, bus services across Telangana were heavily affected, with buses remaining restricted to depots in all districts, causing major inconvenience to passengers.
RTC JAC leaders and workers have been staging protests in front of depots demanding immediate resolution of their issues. Responding to the situation during a media briefing, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar appealed to workers to prioritize public convenience.
He said people are facing serious problems due to the strike and added that going on strike is not the right approach. He stated that the government is ready to resolve 29 out of the 32 demands raised by the employees.
According to the minister, only two major issues remain pending — RTC merger and recognition union elections. He explained that these two matters involve technical complications and require detailed study, which is why the government sought four weeks’ time.
He added that these issues would be discussed at the level of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Deputy Chief Minister. A committee has already been formed for resolving employee issues, and he said this government does not believe in delaying talks unnecessarily.
Ponnam Prabhakar also said the government is committed to strengthening RTC and alleged that there may be a political conspiracy behind the strike aimed at bringing a bad name to the government.
He further accused BRS of opposing the free bus travel scheme for women. He requested RTC employees not to fall into political traps and assured that the government is ready for talks at any time if the strike is withdrawn.
