తెలంగాణలో ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల నియంత్రణ, రహదారి మరియు రైలు భద్రత కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా తెలంగాణ ట్రాఫిక్ మేనేజ్మెంట్, రోడ్ అండ్ రైల్ సేఫ్టీ బ్యూరో (TG-TMARS) ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం దీనికి సంబంధించి జీవో నంబర్ 135 జారీ చేసింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కార్యాలయం తాజా అధికారిక ప్రకటనలో వెల్లడించింది.
హైదరాబాద్ కేంద్రంగా పనిచేసే ఈ ప్రత్యేక బ్యూరోకు అదనపు డీజీపీ లేదా ఐజీపీ స్థాయి అధికారి డైరెక్టర్గా వ్యవహరించనున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని 32 వేల కిలోమీటర్లకు పైగా రహదారులు, 1.8 కోట్లకు పైగా వాహనాల రాకపోకలను పర్యవేక్షించే విధంగా వ్యవస్థను రూపొందించారు.
ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణతో పాటు ఈ-చలాన్లు, ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ ఎన్ఫోర్స్మెంట్, హైవే పెట్రోలింగ్, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల దర్యాప్తు, ట్రాఫిక్ కంట్రోల్ రూమ్ల నిర్వహణ వంటి బాధ్యతలను బ్యూరో చేపట్టనుంది. జాతీయ రహదారులు, ఎక్స్ప్రెస్వేలు, ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు, నిర్దిష్ట రాష్ట్ర రహదారులపై ప్రత్యేక హైవే పెట్రోలింగ్ యూనిట్లను ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు.
ప్రతి పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో రోడ్ క్రాష్ రెస్పాన్స్ ఆఫీసర్ను నియమించనున్నారు. ప్రమాదం జరిగిన వెంటనే ఘటనాస్థలాన్ని భద్రపరచడం, క్షతగాత్రులను గోల్డెన్ అవర్లో ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకోవడం, ప్రమాద వివరాలను నమోదు చేయడం వీరి బాధ్యతగా ఉంటుంది.
అలాగే ట్రాఫిక్ జరిమానాలు, మోటార్ వాహనాల చట్టం కింద వసూలయ్యే కాంపౌండింగ్ ఫీజుల్లో 40 శాతం ట్రాఫిక్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ ఫండ్కు కేటాయించనున్నారు. ఈ నిధులను సాంకేతిక పరికరాలు, పెట్రోలింగ్ వాహనాలు, శిక్షణ, ట్రాఫిక్ నియంత్రణ వ్యవస్థలు, అత్యవసర రహదారి పనులకు వినియోగించనున్నట్లు ప్రభుత్వం పేర్కొంది.

The Telangana government has established the Telangana Traffic Management, Road and Rail Safety Bureau (TG-TMARS) to create a unified framework for traffic management, road safety, crash response and rail safety across the state.
The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office said the government has issued G.O.Ms.No.135 for establishing the specialised bureau. Headquartered in Hyderabad, TG-TMARS will be headed by an officer of Additional Director General of Police or Inspector General of Police rank.
The bureau will cover Telangana’s road network, which extends beyond 32,000 km, and traffic involving more than 1.8 crore registered vehicles. Its responsibilities will include traffic management, electronic enforcement, e-challans, highway patrols, crash investigation, traffic control rooms and enforcement analytics.
Dedicated highway patrol units will operate on national highways, expressways, the Outer Ring Road and notified state highways. These units will use equipment including dashboard cameras, automatic number plate recognition systems and speed-detection devices.
Every police station will designate a Road Crash Response Officer for round-the-clock response to road accidents. The officer will help secure accident scenes, facilitate the shifting of injured persons during the golden hour and record crash information through the designated electronic system.
The government has also created a Traffic Management Fund, with 40 per cent of police compounding fees and fines under the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules earmarked for the fund.
