The Telangana Gazetted Lecturers Association has strongly opposed the proposed merger of the SSC and Intermediate Boards in the state, expressing concern over possible confusion among students and parents during the academic admissions season.
The issue gained attention after the Intermediate admission notification was reportedly issued and later withdrawn, creating uncertainty in government junior colleges across Telangana. Lecturers stated that sudden structural changes in the education system without proper communication could disrupt the admission process and academic administration.
Association representatives urged the Telangana government to hold detailed consultations with stakeholders, including lecturers, education experts, and parents, before implementing any major reforms related to school and intermediate education.
