రాజస్థాన్ స్పెషల్ ఆపరేషన్స్ గ్రూప్ నిర్వహించిన ప్రాథమిక దర్యాప్తులో పరీక్షకు ముందు చలామణి అయిన ‘గెస్ పేపర్’లోని అనేక ప్రశ్నలు అసలు పరీక్షలో వచ్చినట్లు గుర్తించినట్లు సమాచారం. ముఖ్యంగా కెమిస్ట్రీ విభాగంలో వందకు పైగా ప్రశ్నలు సరిపోలినట్లు దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలు గుర్తించాయి. ఈ అంశంపై కేంద్ర దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలకు సమాచారం అందించగా, పరీక్ష పారదర్శకతపై అనుమానాలు వ్యక్తమయ్యాయి.
దీంతో విద్యార్థుల ప్రయోజనాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని పరీక్షను రద్దు చేయాలని ఎన్టీఏ నిర్ణయించింది. ఈ కేసును సీబీఐకి అప్పగించినట్లు కేంద్ర వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి. దేశవ్యాప్తంగా సుమారు 24 లక్షల మంది విద్యార్థులు ఈ పరీక్షకు హాజరయ్యారు.
పరీక్షను త్వరలోనే మళ్లీ నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. కొత్త తేదీలను అధికారిక వెబ్సైట్లో ప్రకటిస్తామని చెప్పారు. రీ ఎగ్జామ్ కోసం మళ్లీ దరఖాస్తు చేయాల్సిన అవసరం లేదని, అదనపు ఫీజు కూడా ఉండదని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఇదిలా ఉండగా, పరీక్ష రద్దుపై విద్యార్థి సంఘాలు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నాయి. ఢిల్లీలో ఎన్ఎస్యూఐ కార్యకర్తలు నిరసనలకు దిగారు. లక్షలాది మంది విద్యార్థుల భవిష్యత్తుతో నిర్లక్ష్యంగా వ్యవహరించారని ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు.

In a major development affecting medical aspirants across India, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially cancelled the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3. The decision came after serious allegations of a question paper leak surfaced in Rajasthan, triggering nationwide concern over the credibility of the exam process.
According to investigation inputs, Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group detected significant similarities between a “guess paper” circulated before the examination and the actual NEET question paper. Officials reportedly found that more than 100 questions, especially in the Chemistry section, matched the circulated material.
Following preliminary findings shared by central agencies, the NTA stated that the integrity of the examination process had been compromised. The agency subsequently cancelled the examination in the interest of students and fairness. The case has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a detailed probe.
Nearly 24 lakh students had appeared for the NEET UG 2026 examination across the country. The cancellation has created uncertainty among aspirants preparing for admissions into MBBS and other medical courses.
Officials confirmed that the examination will be conducted again soon. Fresh examination dates will be announced through the official NTA and NEET websites. Authorities also clarified that students will not be required to register again or pay any additional examination fee for the re-test.
Meanwhile, student organisations have intensified protests over the issue. NSUI workers staged demonstrations in Delhi, accusing authorities of failing to protect the future of lakhs of students.
