హైదరాబాద్ నడిబొడ్డున ఉన్న సైఫాబాద్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో తన పీఆర్వో మహేష్, పీఏ మహేందర్ రెడ్డిపై 15 మంది వ్యక్తులు దాడి చేశారంటూ బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ ఆరోపించారు. ఈ ఘటన అత్యంత దుర్మార్గమైన చర్య అని పేర్కొంటూ, దీనిపై వెంటనే సిట్టింగ్ జడ్జితో విచారణ జరిపించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
పోలీస్ స్టేషన్కు తన సిబ్బందిని విచారణ పేరుతో పిలిపించి, ఖాకీల సమక్షంలోనే ఈ దాడి చేయించడం వెనుక ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి హస్తం ఉందని కేటీఆర్ ఆరోపించారు. ఇది రాజకీయ కక్ష సాధింపులో భాగమని ఆయన విమర్శించారు.
రేవంత్ రెడ్డి పాలనలో రాష్ట్రంలో రౌడీల, గుండాల రాజ్యం నడుస్తోందని కేటీఆర్ తీవ్ర వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. దాడికి పాల్పడిన వారు కాంగ్రెస్ కార్యకర్తలా, లేక మఫ్టీలో ఉన్న పోలీసులా అన్నది తేల్చాలని ప్రశ్నించారు.
ఉదయం విచారణకు రావాలని చెప్పి సాయంత్రం వరకు కాలయాపన చేయడం చూస్తే, ముందుగానే దాడికి కుట్ర పన్నినట్లు అర్థమవుతోందని కేటీఆర్ ఆరోపించారు. మహేష్, మహేందర్ రెడ్డిపై ఎలాంటి చర్యలు తీసుకోవద్దని తదుపరి ఆదేశాల వరకు హైకోర్టు ఆదేశాలు ఇచ్చిన నేపథ్యంలోనే ఈ ఘటన జరిగిందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. హైకోర్టు ఆదేశాలను ఉల్లంఘించేలా వ్యవహరించడంపై కూడా విచారణ జరగాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
దాడిలో గాయపడ్డారని పేర్కొంటున్న తన పీఆర్వో మహేష్, పీఏ మహేందర్ రెడ్డికి వెంటనే రక్షణ కల్పించి మెరుగైన వైద్యం అందించాలని కేటీఆర్ కోరారు. పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ లోపల, బయట ఉన్న అన్ని సీసీటీవీ కెమెరాల ఫుటేజీని వెంటనే భద్రపరచాలని, దాడికి పాల్పడిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరినీ గుర్తించి కఠినంగా శిక్షించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
అయితే ఈ ఆరోపణలను పోలీసులు ఖండించారు. ఖైరతాబాద్ జోన్ డీసీపీ శిల్పవల్లి ప్రకారం, సైఫాబాద్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో కేటీఆర్ పీఆర్వో మహేష్, పీఏ మహేందర్పై ఎలాంటి దాడి జరగలేదు. వారిని ఉదయం నమోదైన కేసులో భాగంగా విచారణకు పిలిచామని, పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లోని సీసీటీవీ కెమెరాలను పరిశీలించామని, దాడి జరిగినట్లు ఎలాంటి ఆధారాలు కనిపించలేదని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.
పోలీసుల వివరణ ప్రకారం, గణేష్ మండపం వద్ద డీజే అనుమతి కోసం కొంతమంది స్థానిక యువకులు సాయంత్రం పోలీస్ స్టేషన్కు వచ్చారు. వారిలో ఒకరు మహేష్ను గుర్తించి, అసెంబ్లీ వద్ద న్యూసెన్స్ చేసిన వారిని మర్యాదగా కూర్చోబెట్టి మాట్లాడుతున్నారని వ్యాఖ్యానించడంతో వాగ్వాదం చోటుచేసుకుందని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. సీఐ వారిని వారించడంతో యువకులు అక్కడి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయారని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ ఘటనపై బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకులు దాడి జరిగిందంటూ పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేసినట్లు డీసీపీ తెలిపారు. దీంతో ఈ వ్యవహారంలో బీఆర్ఎస్ ఆరోపణలు, పోలీసుల వివరణ పరస్పర విరుద్ధంగా ఉన్నాయి. సీసీటీవీ ఫుటేజీ, ఫిర్యాదులు, దర్యాప్తు ద్వారా ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన వాస్తవాలు తేలాల్సి ఉంది.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao has alleged that 15 people entered Saifabad Police Station in Hyderabad and attacked his PRO Mahesh and PA Mahender Reddy. Describing the incident as highly reprehensible, Rama Rao demanded an immediate inquiry by a sitting judge.
Rama Rao alleged that his aides were summoned to the police station for questioning in a politically motivated case and that the alleged attack took place in the presence of police personnel. He held Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also handles the Home portfolio, responsible for the incident and demanded an explanation.
The BRS working president questioned whether the alleged attackers were Congress workers or police personnel in plain clothes wearing masks. He alleged that the incident was part of a political vendetta against his aides.
Rama Rao also questioned the delay between asking his aides to appear for questioning in the morning and the alleged incident in the evening. He alleged that the delay indicated a possible pre-planned attempt to attack them.
He further referred to the Telangana High Court’s September 12 order directing police not to take coercive action, including arrest, against Mahesh and Mahender Reddy while permitting the investigation to continue. Rama Rao alleged that the incident was an attempt to intimidate his aides despite the court’s directions.
Rama Rao demanded immediate security and medical treatment for Mahesh and Mahender Reddy and called for the preservation of all CCTV footage from inside and outside the police station. He also demanded that those responsible for the alleged attack be identified and punished.
The police, however, have denied that any assault took place. Khairatabad Zone DCP Shilpavalli said Mahesh and Mahender had been called to the station for questioning in connection with a case registered earlier in the day. Police said they examined CCTV footage at the station and found no evidence of an assault.
According to the police version, some local youths had visited the station in the evening seeking permission for a DJ at a Ganesh pandal. An argument reportedly followed after one of them recognised KTR’s PRO and questioned why those involved in the Assembly incident were being spoken to respectfully. The youths left after the inspector warned them against making such remarks.
The BRS leaders, however, have maintained that an attack took place and submitted a complaint to the police. With the two versions contradicting each other, CCTV footage, complaints and the subsequent investigation are expected to clarify what happened at the police station.
