తెలంగాణలో మహిళా సంఘాలను మరింత బలోపేతం చేసి గ్రామీణ మహిళలకు ఉపాధి, స్వయం ఉపాధి, శిక్షణ, వ్యాపారాభివృద్ధి, మార్కెటింగ్ అవకాశాలను విస్తరించేందుకు చేపట్టిన ఇందిరా మహిళా శక్తి భవనాల నిర్మాణ పనులు తుది దశకు చేరుకున్నాయి.
మహిళా స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాలకు జిల్లా స్థాయిలో శాశ్వత మౌలిక వసతులు కల్పించడంతో పాటు శిక్షణ, సమావేశాలు, వ్యాపారాభివృద్ధి, ఉత్పత్తుల ప్రదర్శన, మార్కెటింగ్ వంటి కార్యకలాపాలను ఒకే వేదికపై నిర్వహించేలా ఈ భవనాలను రూపొందిస్తున్నారు.
రాష్ట్రంలోని 22 జిల్లాల్లో ఈ భవనాల నిర్మాణాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం చేపట్టింది. ఒక్కో భవనం సుమారు 15 వేల చదరపు అడుగుల విస్తీర్ణంతో నిర్మిస్తుండగా, మొత్తం ప్రాజెక్టు వ్యయం సుమారు రూ.110 కోట్లుగా ఉంది.
పంచాయతీరాజ్ ఇంజినీరింగ్ విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో కొనసాగుతున్న నిర్మాణ పనులు ప్రస్తుతం ముగింపు దశలో ఉన్నాయి. సెర్ప్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ భవనాలు భవిష్యత్లో మహిళా సంఘాల ఆర్థిక కార్యకలాపాలకు కీలక కేంద్రాలుగా మారనున్నాయి.
ఈ భవనాలను కేవలం కార్యాలయాలుగా కాకుండా మహిళా సంఘాలకు చెందిన ఆస్తులుగా అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నారు. ఆయా జిల్లాల జిల్లా సమాఖ్యలు వీటిని సొంతంగా నిర్వహించుకునేలా ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నారు.
నిర్మాణ పనులు పూర్తయిన వెంటనే ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చేతుల మీదుగా భవనాలను ప్రారంభించి మహిళా సంఘాలకు అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావడానికి ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నట్లు మంత్రి సీతక్క తెలిపారు.

Construction of Indira Mahila Shakti buildings aimed at strengthening women’s self-help groups and expanding livelihood, self-employment, training, business development and marketing opportunities for rural women in Telangana has reached the final stage.
The buildings are being designed to provide permanent district-level infrastructure for women’s self-help groups. Training programmes, meetings, business development activities, product exhibitions and marketing initiatives will be conducted under one roof.
The Telangana government has taken up construction of Indira Mahila Shakti buildings in 22 districts. Each building is being constructed over approximately 15,000 square feet, with the total project cost estimated at around Rs 110 crore.
Construction is being carried out under the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department and has now entered the final stage. The buildings are being constructed under the supervision of SERP and are expected to become important centres for the economic activities of women’s groups.
The buildings are being developed not merely as offices but as assets belonging to women’s groups. Arrangements are being made for the respective district federations to manage and operate them.
Minister Seethakka said preparations were underway to inaugurate the buildings through Chief Minister Revanth Reddy once construction is completed and make them available to women’s groups
