తర్వాత బాలికను అధికారుల సమక్షంలో కౌన్సిలర్లతో కలిసి ప్రశ్నించగా, పలుమార్లు లైంగిక దాడి జరిగినట్లు వెల్లడైనట్లు సమాచారం. దీనిపై కుటుంబ సభ్యులు పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేయడంతో కేసు నమోదు చేశారు.
పోక్సో చట్టంలోని సంబంధిత సెక్షన్ల కింద కేసు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు దర్యాప్తు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. ఈ దాడులు దీర్ఘకాలంగా కొనసాగాయా అనే కోణంలో కూడా విచారణ చేస్తున్నారు. అవసరమైతే అదనపు సెక్షన్లు చేర్చే అవకాశముందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

A 24-year-old man was booked under the POCSO Act in Hyderabad’s Alwal area for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl multiple times, police said on Friday. The incident has triggered concern over child safety and protection of minors within households in Telangana.
According to police officials, the accused had reportedly been staying with the victim’s mother for some time. The matter came to light after the girl’s uncle noticed changes in her behaviour and alerted family members.
Police later questioned the minor in the presence of counsellors and officials. During the interaction, the girl reportedly disclosed repeated instances of sexual assault. Based on the complaint filed by the family, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Investigators are now examining whether the abuse continued over an extended period and whether additional legal charges need to be invoked. Officials said further investigation is underway.
