తెలంగాణ ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్కు మాదకద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణలో జాతీయ స్థాయిలో గుర్తింపు లభించింది. యాంటీ నార్కోటిక్స్ టాస్క్ ఫోర్స్ అధిపతుల మూడో జాతీయ సదస్సులో తెలంగాణ పోలీసుల తరఫున ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ డైరెక్టర్ సందీప్ శాండిల్య జాతీయ స్థాయి పురస్కారాన్ని అందుకున్నారు.
న్యూఢిల్లీలో జరిగిన సదస్సులో కేంద్ర హోంమంత్రి అమిత్ షా చేతుల మీదుగా సందీప్ శాండిల్య ఈ అవార్డును స్వీకరించారు. తెలంగాణ నార్కోటిక్స్ బ్యూరో, ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నిర్దేశించిన ఏడు ప్రమాణాల్లో 80 శాతానికి పైగా మార్కులు సాధించినట్లు నివేదికలు వెల్లడించాయి. Deccan Chronicle
మాదకద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణలో ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ ఆపరేషన్లు, సింథటిక్ డ్రగ్స్ నియంత్రణ, కేసుల ప్రాసిక్యూషన్, మాదకద్రవ్యాల డిమాండ్ తగ్గింపు, సమన్వయం, సామర్థ్య నిర్మాణం, పరిశోధన, పరిపాలన వంటి అంశాలను జాతీయ స్థాయి అంచనాలో పరిగణించారు. Telangana Today
ఈ జాతీయ గుర్తింపుపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ సిబ్బందికి అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. మాదకద్రవ్యాల విక్రయం, వినియోగాన్ని అరికట్టడంలో తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం చేపడుతున్న చర్యలకు ఈ గుర్తింపు ప్రోత్సాహాన్ని అందిస్తుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
డ్రగ్స్ నియంత్రణ కేవలం పోలీసుల బాధ్యత మాత్రమే కాదని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. యువతను మాదకద్రవ్యాలకు దూరంగా ఉంచేందుకు తల్లిదండ్రులు, ఉపాధ్యాయులు, విద్యాసంస్థలు, స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థలు, ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు, ప్రజలు కలిసి పనిచేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
డ్రగ్స్ విక్రయం, వినియోగానికి సంబంధించిన సమాచారాన్ని ప్రజలు సంబంధిత అధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకురావాలని ఆయన కోరారు. 2029 డిసెంబర్ నాటికి డ్రగ్స్ రహిత తెలంగాణ నిర్మాణ దిశగా ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ మరింత దృఢంగా పనిచేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆకాంక్షించారు.

Telangana’s EAGLE Force has received national recognition for its performance in combating narcotics trafficking and drug abuse. EAGLE Force Director Sandeep Shandilya received the national-level award on behalf of Telangana Police at the third National Conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force Heads in New Delhi.
The award was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Telangana’s Narcotics Bureau and EAGLE Force secured more than 80 per cent marks across seven parameters prescribed by the Union Government for assessing Anti-Narcotics Task Forces. Deccan Chronicle
The assessment covered intelligence operations, control of precursors and synthetic drugs, prosecution, demand reduction, coordination and capacity building, research and analysis, and administration and logistics. Telangana Today
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated the EAGLE Force team on the national recognition. He said the award reflects the efforts being undertaken by the Telangana government to curb the sale, trafficking and consumption of narcotic substances.
The Chief Minister said tackling drug abuse cannot be the responsibility of the police alone. Parents, teachers, educational institutions, voluntary organisations, public representatives and citizens must work together to protect young people from substance abuse.
He also urged people to remain vigilant and bring information about drug sales and consumption to the attention of the concerned authorities. Revanth Reddy expressed the government’s commitment to building a drug-free Telangana and called for sustained efforts towards the target of December 2029.
