పెండ్లిమర్రులో కొత్త ఆదర్శ డిగ్రీ కళాశాలను ప్రారంభించిన మంత్రి లోకేష్, విద్యా నాణ్యత పెంపుపై విద్యార్థుల సూచనలు కోరారు.
Minister Lokesh inaugurated the new Model Degree College at Pendlimarru and sought students’ suggestions on improving education quality.
కమలాపురం నియోజకవర్గం పెండ్లిమర్రులో రూ.12 కోట్ల రూసా నిధులతో నిర్మించిన ఆధునాతన ఆదర్శ డిగ్రీ కళాశాల భవనాలను రాష్ట్ర విద్య, ఐటి, ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్ శాఖల మంత్రి నారా లోకేష్ మంగళవారం ప్రారంభించారు. పీఎం ఉష పథకం కింద నిర్మించిన అడ్మినిస్ట్రేటివ్ బ్లాక్ను కూడా ఆయన ప్రారంభించారు. అనంతరం బీఏ ఎకనామిక్స్ ద్వితీయ సంవత్సరం తరగతి గదిని పరిశీలించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రి లోకేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ విద్యాశాఖ అత్యంత కీలకమైనదని, భావి భారత పౌరులను తీర్చిదిద్దడంలో ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని తెలిపారు. “విద్యా నాణ్యతను పెంచడానికి నేను మంత్రిగా ఏమి చేయాలో మీరు చెప్పాలి” అని విద్యార్థులను కోరారు.
విద్యార్థులు స్పందిస్తూ ఫ్యాకల్టీ పెంపు, ఖాళీ పోస్టుల భర్తీ అవసరమని సూచించారు. దీనిపై మంత్రి ఖాళీగా ఉన్న పోస్టుల భర్తీకి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. అలాగే కళాశాల సమీపంలో బస్టాప్ ఏర్పాటు, కాంపౌండ్ వాల్ నిర్మాణం అవసరమని విద్యార్థులు కోరగా, మౌలిక వసతుల కల్పనపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారిస్తోందని మంత్రి తెలిపారు.
విద్యార్థినులు ఉచిత బస్సు సౌకర్యం తమకు ఎంతో ఉపయోగకరమని తెలిపారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో జిల్లా ఇన్చార్జ్ మంత్రి సబిత, కలెక్టర్ చెరుకూరి శ్రీధర్, జాయింట్ కలెక్టర్ అధితి సింగ్, కమలాపురం ఎమ్మెల్యే పుత్తా చైతన్య రెడ్డి, యోగి వేమన యూనివర్సిటీ వైస్ చాన్సలర్ అల్లం శ్రీనివాసరావు, విద్యా మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ రాజశేఖర్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
In Pendlimarru of Kamalapuram constituency, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh inaugurated the newly built Model Degree College on Tuesday. The college, constructed with ₹12 crore under RUSA funds, was formally opened along with the administrative block built under the PM USHA scheme. Lokesh also inspected the BA Economics second-year classroom.
Addressing the gathering, Lokesh said that the education department plays a crucial role in shaping future citizens. He asked students to share their suggestions on what measures he should take as a minister to improve the quality of education.
Students requested the appointment of additional faculty and filling of vacant posts. Responding, the minister assured that action would be taken to fill vacancies. They also sought a bus stop near the college and the construction of a compound wall. Lokesh said the government was already working on strengthening infrastructure in colleges.
Female students expressed that the free bus facility was very useful for them. The event was attended by District In-Charge Minister Sabitha, Collector Cherukuri Sridhar, Joint Collector Aditi Singh, Kamalapuram MLA Putta Chaitanya Reddy, Yogi Vemana University Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasarao, and Education Infrastructure Corporation Chairman Rajasekhar.
