అమరావతిపై దుష్ప్రచారం ఆపాలని, వాస్తవాలు తెలుసుకోకుండా మాట్లాడితే ప్రజలు సహించరని మంత్రి నారాయణ హెచ్చరించారు.

రాజధాని అమరావతి మునిగిపోయిందంటూ వైసీపీ నేతలు చేస్తున్న వ్యాఖ్యలపై మంత్రి నారాయణ ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. అమరావతిపై ఏడుపులు ఆపాలని సూచించారు. కొండవీటి వాగు నీటి ప్రవాహానికి ఆటంకం కలగడంతో కొన్ని పొలాల్లో వర్షపు నీరు నిలిచిపోయిందని, అది కూడా కేవలం రెండు గ్రామాల పరిధిలో మాత్రమేనని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. మిగతా గ్రామాల్లో వర్షం ఆగిన కొన్ని గంటల్లోనే నీరు బయటికి వెళ్లిపోయిందన్నారు.
విజయవాడ పశ్చిమ బైపాస్ వద్ద నేషనల్ హైవేస్ అధికారులు వంతెన నిర్మించినప్పుడు వదిలిన మట్టివల్ల నీటి ప్రవాహం ఆగిపోయిందని, దాన్ని తొలగించేందుకు తక్షణ చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన ఆదేశించారు. ప్రొక్లెయిన్ యంత్రాలతో మట్టి తొలగించడం, నీరు సులభంగా బయటికి వెళ్లేందుకు జాతీయ రహదారి పైన గండ్లు పెట్టడం వంటి చర్యలు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయని వెల్లడించారు.
మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ నారాయణ, “గుంతల్లోకి నీరు వస్తే ఐకానిక్ భవనాలు మునిగిపోయినట్లేనా?” అని వైసీపీ నేతలను ప్రశ్నించారు. రాజధాని నిర్మాణం ఆగదని, వచ్చే మార్చి నాటికి అధికారులు, ఉద్యోగుల క్వార్టర్లు సిద్ధమవుతాయని తెలిపారు. అమరావతి మునిగిపోయిందని ప్రచారం చేస్తున్న వారు స్వయంగా వచ్చి వాస్తవాలు చూడాలని సూచించారు.

Reacting strongly to YSRCP leaders’ remarks that the capital Amaravati was “submerged,” Narayana clarified that only a few farmlands in two villages saw rainwater stagnation due to obstruction in Kondaveeti Vagu’s flow. In all other areas, the water drained out within a few hours after the rainfall stopped.
He inspected the affected areas along with Amaravati Development Corporation CMD Lakshmi Parthasaradhi. Narayana explained that during the construction of a bridge on the Vijayawada western bypass road by the National Highways Authority, soil was left piled up, which blocked the flow of Kondaveeti Vagu. This caused temporary waterlogging in nearby farmlands.
He immediately instructed officials to remove the soil using proclain machines and make small cuts on the highway to allow water to flow smoothly. Speaking to the media, Narayana questioned YSRCP leaders, “If rainwater collects in pits, does that mean iconic buildings have sunk?”
He asserted that Amaravati’s construction will continue, with officials’ and employees’ quarters expected to be ready by March next year. He also suggested that those spreading rumors about Amaravati being submerged should visit the capital and see the ground reality.
