హృతిక్ రోషన్, ఎన్టీఆర్ ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించిన వార్ 2 యష్ రాజ్ ఫిల్మ్స్ బ్యానర్పై ఆదిత్య చోప్రా నిర్మాణంలో, అయాన్ ముఖర్జీ దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందింది. కియారా అద్వానీ కథానాయికగా నటించగా, అనిల్ కపూర్, అశుతోష్ రానా ముఖ్యపాత్రల్లో కనిపించారు. ఆగస్టు 14న ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా విడుదలైన ఈ స్పై యాక్షన్ థ్రిల్లర్, ఇండియా రా సోల్జర్ కబీర్ (హృతిక్) కథను చుట్టుముట్టి సాగుతుంది. దేశాన్ని రక్షించే క్రమంలో కబీర్ దేశద్రోహిగా మారినట్లు అనుమానం రావడంతో, అతన్ని పట్టుకోవడానికి రా ఏజెంట్ విక్రమ్ (ఎన్టీఆర్) రంగంలోకి దిగుతాడు. కానీ అసలు కుట్ర కబీర్ వెనుక కాకుండా కలీ కార్టెల్ వెనుక ఉందని తెలిసి, కథ మలుపులు తిరుగుతుంది.
కథ, స్క్రీన్ప్లే పరంగా వార్ 2 రెగ్యులర్ స్పై యాక్షన్ సినిమాల మాదిరిగానే సాగుతుంది—బెస్ట్ సోల్జర్, దేశద్రోహం అనుమానం, చివర్లో నిజం వెలుగు చూడటం వంటి పరిణామాలతో. మధ్యలో హీరో-హీరోయిన్ ప్రేమకథ, అపార్థాలు కూడా ఉంటాయి. అయితే యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్లు మాత్రం అద్భుతంగా ప్లాన్ చేశారు—నీటిలో, గాలిలో, ట్రైన్ పై, మంచులో, మంటల్లో… గ్రాండ్గా చిత్రీకరించారు. ఎన్టీఆర్కు ఇచ్చిన ఎలివేషన్స్ అభిమానులను ఆనందపరిచేలా ఉన్నాయి. కానీ సస్పెన్స్, థ్రిల్లింగ్ అంశాలు కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలను మినహాయించి అంతగా మెయింటైన్ కాలేదు.

Starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR in lead roles, War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner and directed by Ayan Mukerji. Kiara Advani plays the female lead, with Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. Released worldwide on August 14, this spy action thriller revolves around Kabir (Hrithik), India’s top RAW soldier. When Kabir is suspected of turning traitor while trying to protect the country, RAW brings in their best agent Vikram (NTR) to take him down. But soon, it’s revealed that the real conspiracy is led by the Kali Cartel, not Kabir, and the story takes unexpected turns.
Story and screenplay-wise, War 2 follows the familiar pattern of regular spy action films — a top soldier, suspicion of betrayal, hidden truths revealed in the climax, along with a hero-heroine love track and misunderstandings. However, the action sequences are planned on a grand scale — underwater, mid-air, on a moving train, in snow, and through fire. NTR’s elevation scenes are a treat for his fans, though the suspense and thrill are maintained only in parts.
In performances, Hrithik Roshan impresses as always in action sequences. NTR shines in stylish action scenes as well as emotional moments. Kiara Advani charms with her looks and delivers in action. Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana do justice to their RAW chief roles. Technically, the cinematography is rich, with well-designed action and chase sequences across multiple countries. Locations and visuals are a strong plus, while the background score is decent and songs are forgettable.
Overall, War 2 is a spy action thriller with a mix of action and emotion. Despite a routine plot, it’s worth watching for the stylish action and performances. Rating: 2.75/5.
