హుస్నాబాద్ పట్టణంలోని మల్లె చెట్టు చౌరస్తా నుంచి అంబేద్కర్ విగ్రహం వరకు సిద్దిపేట పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో భారీ ర్యాలీ జరిగింది. మాదకద్రవ్యాల ప్రమాదాలపై యువతకు అవగాహన కల్పించేందుకు మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ విద్యార్థులు, యువకులతో ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేయించారు. ఈ ర్యాలీలో సిద్దిపేట పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ అనురాధ, పోలీసు అధికారులు, ఇతర అధికారులు, విద్యార్థులు, యువకులు, రాజకీయ నాయకులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ మాట్లాడుతూ, హుస్నాబాద్లో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ మాదకద్రవ్య వ్యతిరేక సైనికులుగా మారాలని, ఎవరు డ్రగ్స్ వాడుతున్నా 1908కి లేదా సమీప ప్రభుత్వ అధికారులకు సమాచారం ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు. డ్రగ్స్ తాత్కాలిక ఆనందం ఇస్తాయేమో కానీ జీవితాన్ని శాశ్వతంగా నాశనం చేస్తాయని హెచ్చరించారు. నషాయుక్త్ భారత్ అభియాన్లో భాగంగా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా మాదకద్రవ్య వ్యతిరేక ఉద్యమాలు జరుగుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు.
అలాగే, పాశ్చాత్య దేశాలను వేధిస్తున్న మాదకద్రవ్యాల సమస్య మన ప్రాంతానికి రాకుండా అడ్డుకోవాల్సిన బాధ్యత మన అందరిది అన్నారు. తాత్కాలిక ఆనందం కోసం మత్తు పదార్థాలకు అలవాటు పడితే కుటుంబానికి, సమాజానికి భారమవుతామని, డ్రగ్స్ వద్దు – జీవితం ముద్దు అనే నినాదంతో ముందుకు సాగాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
BRS leader and MLC Kadiyam Srihari criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s statements on the Dummugudem project, alleging they were misleading the public. Speaking to the media in Hanamkonda, Srihari said the CM was distorting facts about irrigation projects to gain political advantage.
He claimed that delays in projects like Dummugudem were due to central clearances and inter-state disputes, not the previous BRS government’s negligence. He accused Revanth Reddy of creating unnecessary confusion among people with baseless allegations.
Srihari said the people of Telangana are well aware of the BRS government’s efforts to safeguard the state’s irrigation interests. He alleged that instead of addressing crucial irrigation issues, the Congress government was focusing on political blame games.
