గాంధీ ఆసుపత్రిలో నెలకొన్న పరిస్థితులను సమీక్షించేందుకు కేంద్ర బొగ్గు గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి కిషన్ రెడ్డి సోమవారం ఆసుపత్రిని సందర్శించారు. దేశవ్యాప్తంగా కరోనా కేసులు మళ్లీ పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో ప్రధాన మంత్రి మోడీ ఆదేశాల మేరకు తెలంగాణ నోడల్ ఆసుపత్రిగా ఉన్న గాంధీ ఆసుపత్రిని పరిశీలించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కరోనా సమయంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఆక్సిజన్ ప్లాంటు, వివిధ విభాగాల్లో చికిత్స పొందుతున్న రోగుల పరిస్థితులను ఆయన సమీక్షించారు. రోగులకు అందుతున్న వైద్య సేవలపై ఆసుపత్రి సూపరిండెంట్ రాజకుమారితో చర్చించారు. మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కొరత, తాగునీటి సమస్యలపై ఆసుపత్రి యంత్రాంగాన్ని ప్రశ్నించారు.
పారిశుద్ధ్యం, డ్రైనేజీ నిర్వహణ పట్ల అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు. సిటీ స్కాన్, ఎమ్మారై వంటి మెడికల్ పరికరాలు నిరవధికంగా పనిచేసేలా చూడాలని సూచించారు. ఆసుపత్రిలో వైద్య సిబ్బంది కొరత విషయాన్ని అధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకురాగా, ఈ అంశంపై రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వంతో చర్చిస్తానని ఆయన హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
ఎటువంటి అత్యవసర పరిస్థితులు ఎదురైనా, గాంధీ ఆసుపత్రి వైద్య సిబ్బంది సన్నద్ధంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు.

Amid growing concerns over rising COVID-19 cases, Union Minister for Coal and Mines Kishan Reddy visited Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad on Monday. Acting on the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he inspected Telangana’s nodal COVID care facility.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed the oxygen plant set up during the pandemic and interacted with patients across various wards. He held discussions with the hospital superintendent Rajkumar on the quality of healthcare services being delivered and the infrastructure available.
Highlighting complaints related to drinking water shortages and lack of basic amenities, the Minister advised immediate improvements. He stressed the need for proper sanitation and drainage management. He also directed that essential diagnostic machines like CT and MRI scanners be kept fully functional to avoid inconvenience to patients.
When informed about the shortage of medical staff, Kishan Reddy assured he would discuss the issue with the state government. He emphasized that the hospital staff should remain alert and ready to respond to any emergency.
