Shamirpet Case: Accused Sentenced to 3 Years’ Rigorous Imprisonment
A Medchal district fast-track special court has convicted an accused in a case registered at Shamirpet Police Station and sentenced him to three years of rigorous imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of ₹3,000.
The verdict was delivered by the Fast Track Special Court for Expeditious Trial and Disposal of Rape and POCSO Act Cases in Medchal district. The police statement did not disclose further details about the specific offence, the victim or the date of the judgment.
The Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate reiterated its commitment to child safety, accountability and effective prosecution of offences against children. It stated that the police would continue working to protect children and ensure justice for victims through appropriate legal action.
