నారాయణపేట జిల్లా మద్దూరులో పేదల ఇళ్ల కూల్చివేత అంశంపై బీఆర్ఎస్ నేత హరీశ్ రావు తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డిని ప్రశ్నించారు. కొడంగల్కు చెందిన ప్రజల ఇళ్లనే కూల్చివేస్తారా అంటూ ఆయన ప్రశ్నలు సంధించారు.
రాత్రికి రాత్రే పేదల ఇళ్లపైకి బుల్డోజర్లను తీసుకెళ్లి కూల్చివేతలు చేపట్టే హక్కు ఎవరు ఇచ్చారని హరీశ్ రావు ప్రశ్నించారు. కనీసం నోటీసులు ఇవ్వకుండా ఇళ్లను కూల్చివేయడంపై ఆయన అభ్యంతరం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
న్యాయస్థానాలు ఇచ్చిన తీర్పులను కూడా గౌరవించరా అని హరీశ్ రావు ప్రశ్నించారు. ఏళ్లుగా ఇళ్లలో నివసిస్తున్న కుటుంబాలను ఒక్కసారిగా ఖాళీ చేయిస్తే వారు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లాలని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
పోలీసులను ఉపయోగించి బుల్డోజర్లతో కూల్చివేతలు చేపట్టడం సమంజసమేనా అని హరీశ్ రావు ప్రశ్నించారు. పేదల ఇళ్ల కూల్చివేతలపై ప్రభుత్వం స్పష్టత ఇవ్వాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
భూసేకరణ చట్టం–2013 ప్రకారం బాధితులకు న్యాయమైన పరిహారం, పునరావాసం కల్పించాలని బీఆర్ఎస్ తరఫున డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నట్లు హరీశ్ రావు తెలిపారు.
మద్దూరులో రోడ్డు విస్తరణకు సంబంధించిన కూల్చివేతలపై స్థానికుల నుంచి కూడా అభ్యంతరాలు వ్యక్తమైనట్లు తాజా మీడియా నివేదికలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. కూల్చివేతల సమయంలో నోటీసులు, పరిహారం తదితర అంశాలపై బాధితులు ప్రశ్నించినట్లు నివేదికలు వెల్లడించాయి.

BRS leader T Harish Rao questioned the demolition of houses belonging to poor families in Maddur of Narayanpet district and raised questions over the manner in which the demolitions were carried out.
Harish Rao questioned whether houses of people in the Kodangal region could be demolished in such a manner. He asked who had authorised the use of bulldozers against the houses of poor families in Maddur.
He also questioned why the affected residents were allegedly not given prior notices before the demolitions. Harish Rao asked whether court orders were being respected in the process.
He further raised concerns about families who had been living in the area for several years and questioned where they would go if their houses were suddenly demolished.
Harish Rao also questioned the use of police personnel during the demolition operations and criticised what he described as the use of bulldozers against poor residents.
On behalf of the BRS, Harish Rao demanded that affected families be provided fair compensation and rehabilitation in accordance with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
Recent media reports have also reported demolitions in Maddur in connection with road expansion and described objections raised by affected residents over notices and compensation.
