యాదాద్రి థర్మల్ పవర్ ప్లాంట్లో విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తికి జీ-9 గ్రేడ్ బొగ్గు అవసరమని అధికారులు సమావేశంలో తెలిపారు. అయితే సింగరేణి కాలరీస్ వద్ద ప్రస్తుతం ఈ గ్రేడ్ బొగ్గును ఉత్పత్తి చేసే బొగ్గు బ్లాకులు అందుబాటులో లేవని వివరించారు.
సింగరేణి నుంచి సమీప భవిష్యత్తులో జీ-9 గ్రేడ్ బొగ్గు అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చే అవకాశాలపై కూడా సమావేశంలో చర్చ జరిగింది. రాష్ట్ర విద్యుత్ అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గాల్లో బొగ్గును సమీకరించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోంది.

యాదాద్రి థర్మల్ పవర్ ప్లాంట్ను బొగ్గు గనులకు సమీపంలోని పిట్హెడ్ ప్రాంతంలో కాకుండా దూరంగా నిర్మించడంపై కూడా సమావేశంలో చర్చ జరిగింది. బొగ్గును ప్లాంట్కు తరలించాల్సి రావడంతో రవాణా వ్యయం, ఇతర అదనపు ఖర్చులపై అధికారులు ముఖ్యమంత్రికి వివరించినట్లు తాజా మీడియా నివేదికలు పేర్కొన్నాయి.

The Telangana government is taking steps to strengthen thermal power generation in the state, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directing officials to ensure that the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant operates at full capacity before the Dasara festival.
Revanth Reddy held a high-level review meeting on the state’s power situation along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The meeting examined the reasons behind the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant not operating at its full generation capacity.
Officials informed the meeting that the plant requires G9-grade coal for power generation. However, Singareni Collieries currently does not have coal blocks producing the required grade of coal, according to the information presented during the review.
