India and Japan are set to meet in a historic one-off T20 International at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Japan on September 22. The match will be the first senior men’s international cricket meeting between the two countries and will begin at 9:30 AM IST.
There is now clarity over the broadcast arrangements in India. Contrary to the earlier information that no television channel would show the match, Star Sports Network has secured the television rights, while FanCode will provide live streaming. Fans can therefore watch the historic fixture on television as well as through the streaming platform.
Shreyas Iyer will captain India in the Japan T20I. The latest squad announced by the BCCI includes Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh, along with young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
