English: Farmers in Shamirepet Get Key Tips on Organic Vegetable Farming
శామీర్పేటలో కూరగాయల సాగులో సేంద్రియ పద్ధతులపై రైతులకు అవగాహన కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు. రసాయన ఎరువులు, పురుగుమందుల వినియోగాన్ని తగ్గించి నేల ఆరోగ్యాన్ని కాపాడే సహజ పద్ధతులను అనుసరించాలని ఉద్యాన, వ్యవసాయ శాఖల అధికారులు సూచించారు.
మూడు చింతలపల్లి మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలోని ఉద్దమర్రి గ్రామంలో గురువారం వ్యవసాయ శాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో రైతులకు సేంద్రియ కూరగాయల సాగుపై అవగాహన కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు. కూరగాయల పరిశోధన కేంద్రం, ఎస్కేఎల్టీజీ హార్టికల్చర్ యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన సీనియర్ శాస్త్రవేత్త డా. జె. శ్రీనివాస్ రైతులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు.
అధిక దిగుబడుల కోసం విచక్షణారహితంగా రసాయన ఎరువులు, పురుగుమందులు వినియోగించకుండా నేల స్వభావాన్ని కాపాడే సేంద్రియ పద్ధతులను అనుసరించాలని సూచించారు. సేంద్రియ, జీవ ఎరువుల వినియోగం, సహజ పద్ధతుల్లో పురుగు నివారణ, పంటల మార్పిడి, నేల ఆరోగ్య పరిరక్షణ వంటి అంశాలను రైతులకు వివరించారు.
సేంద్రియ పద్ధతుల్లో సాగు చేయడం ద్వారా నేల సారవంతతను కాపాడటంతో పాటు పంటల నాణ్యతను మెరుగుపరచవచ్చని, సాగు ఖర్చులను కూడా నియంత్రించుకునే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు. కూరగాయలపై పురుగులు, తెగుళ్ల నియంత్రణకు ముందస్తు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
వ్యవసాయ, ఉద్యాన శాఖల అధికారుల సలహాలు తీసుకుని శాస్త్రీయ పద్ధతులను అనుసరించాలని రైతులకు సూచించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో రైతులు సేంద్రియ కూరగాయల సాగుకు సంబంధించిన వివిధ అంశాలపై నిపుణులను ప్రశ్నించి వివరాలు తెలుసుకున్నారు.
శాస్త్రీయ అవగాహనతో పర్యావరణహిత పద్ధతుల్లో సాగు చేపట్టి నాణ్యమైన దిగుబడులు సాధించాలని అధికారులు రైతులకు సూచించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో కౌన్సిలర్లు లత, శ్రీలత, ప్రోగ్రెసివ్ రైతు ప్రసాద్ రెడ్డి, వ్యవసాయ అధికారి ప్రవీణ, ఉద్యాన శాఖ అధికారులు స్వప్నిక, వెంకట్ రమణ, ఏఈఓ సురేష్, హెచ్ఈఓ సంధ్య, ఎఫ్పీఓ అధ్యక్షుడు సీతారామరావు, మట్టి శాస్త్రవేత్త, స్పీక్ మేనేజర్ హుస్సేన్, రైతులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Farmers in Uddemarra village under the Three Chintalapally municipality were given awareness on organic methods for vegetable cultivation. Officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture departments advised farmers to reduce indiscriminate use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides and adopt practices that protect soil health.
An awareness programme on organic vegetable cultivation was conducted on Thursday under the Agriculture Department in Uddemarra village. Dr J. Srinivas, Senior Scientist at the Vegetable Research Centre of SKLTG Horticulture University, explained several scientific practices to the farmers.
He advised farmers to adopt organic cultivation methods that help preserve soil quality instead of relying excessively on chemical fertilisers and pesticides for higher yields. The session covered the use of organic and bio-fertilisers, natural pest-control methods, crop rotation and soil-health management.
Dr Srinivas said organic cultivation can help maintain soil fertility, improve crop quality and provide opportunities to control cultivation costs. He also advised farmers to take preventive measures against pests and diseases affecting vegetable crops.
Farmers were encouraged to consult Agriculture and Horticulture Department officials and follow scientifically recommended cultivation practices. They also interacted with experts and sought information on various aspects of organic vegetable cultivation.
Officials urged farmers to combine scientific knowledge with environment-friendly farming practices to achieve quality yields. Councillors Latha and Srilatha, progressive farmer Prasad Reddy, Agriculture Officer Praveena, Horticulture officials Swapnika and Venkat Ramana, AEO Suresh, HEO Sandhya, FPO president Seetharama Rao, a soil scientist, SPEAK manager Hussain and farmers participated in the programme.
