హైదరాబాద్: నగరంలో రోజురోజుకూ పెరుగుతున్న ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీ, వాహన కాలుష్యాన్ని తగ్గించడంతో పాటు ప్రజలకు మెరుగైన ప్రజా రవాణా సౌకర్యాన్ని అందించేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం సమగ్ర ప్రణాళికతో ముందుకు వెళ్తోందని రవాణా శాఖ మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ తెలిపారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా హైదరాబాద్ నగరానికి నలువైపులా ఆధునిక బస్ టెర్మినల్స్ ఏర్పాటు చేసే ప్రతిపాదనలను ప్రభుత్వం పరిశీలిస్తోంది.
గాజులరామారం, శంషాబాద్, ఎల్బీనగర్, ఘట్కేసర్ ప్రాంతాల్లో కొత్త బస్ టెర్మినల్స్ ఏర్పాటు చేసే దిశగా చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నట్లు మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ తెలిపారు. నగరంలోకి వచ్చే దూరప్రాంత, అంతర్జిల్లా, అంతర్రాష్ట్ర బస్సులను అంతర్గత ప్రాంతాల్లోకి అనుమతించకుండా సంబంధిత దిశల్లో ఏర్పాటు చేసే టెర్మినల్స్ వరకే నడిపించే విధానాన్ని రూపొందిస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.
కర్ణాటక, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, మహారాష్ట్రతో పాటు ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు వైపు నుంచి హైదరాబాద్లోకి వచ్చే బస్సులను ఆయా ప్రాంతాలకు సమీపంలోని టెర్మినల్స్ వద్దే నిలిపేలా ప్రణాళిక రూపొందిస్తున్నట్లు మంత్రి వివరించారు. దీని ద్వారా నగరంలోని ప్రధాన రహదారులపై ట్రాఫిక్ ఒత్తిడిని తగ్గించడంతో పాటు వాహన కాలుష్యాన్ని కూడా తగ్గించవచ్చని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోంది.
విమానాశ్రయం వైపు వెళ్లే బస్సులు, హైదరాబాద్కు వచ్చే అంతర్జిల్లా బస్సులను కూడా అవసరాన్ని బట్టి నిర్దేశిత టెర్మినల్స్ వద్దే నిలిపి, అక్కడి నుంచి ప్రయాణికులను నగరంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాలకు తరలించేలా లాస్ట్ మైల్ కనెక్టివిటీని బలోపేతం చేయనున్నట్లు పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ తెలిపారు.
టెర్మినల్స్ నుంచి ప్రయాణికులు తమ గమ్యస్థానాలకు సులభంగా చేరుకునేలా సిటీ ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులు, మెట్రో రైలు, ఎంఎంటీఎస్ సేవలను సమన్వయం చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోందని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. ప్రజా రవాణా వ్యవస్థలో ఈ సమన్వయం నగర ప్రయాణికులకు ఉపయోగపడుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
హైదరాబాద్లో ప్రైవేట్ బస్సులు ఇష్టానుసారంగా పార్కింగ్ చేయడం, ముఖ్యంగా రాత్రి సమయాల్లో పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో బస్సులు రోడ్లపైకి రావడం వల్ల ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీతో పాటు వాహన కాలుష్యం పెరుగుతోందని మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ తెలిపారు.
ఈ సమస్యకు పరిష్కారంగా ప్రైవేట్ బస్సులను కూడా నిర్దేశిత బస్ టెర్మినల్స్ ద్వారా నిర్వహించే విధానంపై ప్రభుత్వం కార్యాచరణ రూపొందిస్తోందని ఆయన వెల్లడించారు.

Hyderabad: Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the state government is moving ahead with a comprehensive plan to reduce the growing traffic congestion and vehicular pollution in Hyderabad while improving public transport facilities for residents.
As part of the plan, the government is considering setting up modern bus terminals in four directions of Hyderabad at Gajularamaram, Shamshabad, LB Nagar and Ghatkesar.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said long-distance, inter-district and interstate buses entering Hyderabad from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, as well as from the Outer Ring Road side, would be planned to operate only up to designated terminals in the respective directions instead of entering the inner parts of the city.
The proposed system is aimed at reducing the number of long-distance buses entering the city’s core areas. The government expects the plan to help ease traffic pressure on major roads and reduce vehicular pollution.
Buses travelling towards the airport and inter-district buses arriving in Hyderabad would also be stopped at designated terminals wherever required. From these terminals, passengers would be connected to different parts of the city through strengthened last-mile connectivity, the minister said.
The government is also considering coordination between city RTC buses, Metro Rail and MMTS services so that passengers can conveniently reach their destinations from the proposed terminals.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the unregulated parking of private buses in Hyderabad and the movement of large numbers of private buses on city roads, particularly at night, were contributing to traffic congestion and vehicular pollution.
As a solution, the government is also working on a system under which private buses would be operated through designated bus terminals, he said.
The proposed four-terminal model is part of the government’s broader effort to reorganise Hyderabad’s public transport network and reduce the pressure created by long-distance and private buses entering the city’s internal areas.
