హైదరాబాద్ సైఫాబాద్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ పీఆర్వో మహేష్, పీఏ మహేందర్పై దాడి జరిగిందన్న ప్రచారాన్ని ఖైరతాబాద్ జోన్ డీసీపీ శిల్పవల్లి ఖండించారు. పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో ఎలాంటి దాడి జరగలేదని ఆమె స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఈ ఉదయం నమోదైన కేసులో భాగంగా మహేష్, మహేందర్లను విచారణకు పిలిచామని డీసీపీ తెలిపారు. ఇదే సమయంలో గణేష్ మండపం వద్ద డీజే అనుమతి కోసం కొంతమంది స్థానిక యువకులు సాయంత్రం పోలీస్ స్టేషన్కు వచ్చినట్లు వివరించారు.
డీజేకు అనుమతి ఇవ్వాలని కోరుతూ వచ్చిన యువకులకు సైఫాబాద్ సీఐ సమాధానం ఇచ్చే సమయంలో వాగ్వాదం జరిగినట్లు డీసీపీ తెలిపారు. వారిలో ఒకరు కేటీఆర్ పీఆర్వోను గుర్తించి, అసెంబ్లీ వద్ద న్యూసెన్స్ చేసిన వారిని మర్యాదగా కూర్చోబెట్టి మాట్లాడుతున్నారని వ్యాఖ్యానించడంతో వాగ్వాదం జరిగిందని చెప్పారు.
సీఐ అలా మాట్లాడవద్దని యువకులను వారించడంతో వారు అక్కడి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయారని డీసీపీ తెలిపారు. అనంతరం పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లోని సీసీటీవీ కెమెరాలను పరిశీలించామని, అందులో ఎలాంటి దాడి జరిగినట్లు కనిపించలేదని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
అయితే తమపై దాడి జరిగిందంటూ బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకులు పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేశారని డీసీపీ తెలిపారు. మరోవైపు, సైఫాబాద్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో కేటీఆర్ పీఏ, పీఆర్వోలపై ముసుగులు ధరించిన వ్యక్తులు దాడికి ప్రయత్నించారని బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకులు ఆరోపించారు. సుమారు 15 నుంచి 20 మంది ముసుగులు ధరించిన వ్యక్తులు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లోకి వచ్చారని పార్టీ వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి.
ఈ ఘటనపై ఇరు వర్గాల వాదనలు భిన్నంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన సీసీటీవీ దృశ్యాలు, పోలీసుల దర్యాప్తు, నమోదైన ఫిర్యాదుల ఆధారంగా వాస్తవాలు మరింత స్పష్టమయ్యే అవకాశం ఉంది.
ఇదిలా ఉండగా, కేటీఆర్ పీఏ మహేందర్ రెడ్డి, పీఆర్వో మహేష్పై నమోదైన కేసులో సెప్టెంబర్ 12న తెలంగాణ హైకోర్టు తదుపరి ఆదేశాలు వచ్చే వరకు అరెస్టు సహా ఎలాంటి బలవంతపు చర్యలు తీసుకోవద్దని పోలీసులను ఆదేశించినట్లు టైమ్స్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా నివేదించింది. అయితే కేసు దర్యాప్తును కొనసాగించేందుకు కోర్టు అనుమతించింది.

Hyderabad’s Khairatabad Zone DCP Shilpavalli has denied reports that BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s PRO Mahesh and PA Mahender were attacked inside the Saifabad Police Station.
The DCP said there was no attack on the two men and termed the reports of an assault as false. According to her statement, Mahesh and Mahender had been called to the police station for questioning in connection with a case registered against them earlier in the day.
The DCP said that some local youths had also visited the police station in the evening seeking permission for a DJ at a Ganesh pandal. During the interaction, an argument reportedly took place after one of the youths recognised KTR’s PRO and questioned why those accused of creating a nuisance near the Assembly were being spoken to respectfully.
The Saifabad Inspector reportedly warned the youths against making such remarks, following which they left the police station, the DCP said.
Police subsequently examined the CCTV cameras installed at the station and found no evidence of an assault, according to the DCP. She added that BRS leaders had nevertheless approached the police and complained that an attack had taken place.
BRS leaders, however, have alleged that masked men attempted to attack KTR’s PA and PRO inside the police station. The party claimed that around 15 to 20 masked persons entered the station while the two were being questioned.
The two versions of the incident remain contradictory. CCTV footage, the complaints submitted to the police and the outcome of the investigation are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Separately, the Telangana High Court had on September 12 directed the police not to take coercive action, including arrest, against KTR’s media coordinator and PRO Manikya Mahesh and personal assistant Kumbala Mahender Reddy in the related Assembly case, while allowing the investigation to continue.
